James I (1603-1625)

My name is King James I and I was the first Puritan King after the Great Queen Elizabeth. I was the first English King to translate the bible into English and we call it the King James Bible. I was honored to be a part of the founding of James Town; a prominent settlement in the newly acquired lands of America.

Charles I (1625-1649)

My name is King Charles I, I believe in the divine right of kings and that my power has come from God himself. My feud with Parliament led me to dissolve the governed body multiple times without their permission, this conflict quickly resulting in the English Civil war. My forces were called Royalists or Cavaliers and Oliver Cromwell forces were called the Roundheads, James and I were executed for treason against his country.

Oliver Cromwell (1649-1658)

My name is Oliver Cromwell and I was a military leader during the English Civil War because of my success in the Civil War, I was crowned the Lord Protector. I have now changed the government of England by abolishing the monarchy and establishing the Commonweath. I am honored to be a known part in the execution of James I and I for ruling England as a military dictator now.

Charles II(1658-1685)

My name is Charles II and I had a rough time during the Cromwell rule; because I was the son of Charles I, Cromwell saw me as a threat and exited me into France. Once Oliver Cromwell died, I returned to England and restored the Monarchy, during that time of period it was known as the restoration. I am now pursuing a policy of religious tolerance in a document called the "Declaration of Indulgence".

My name is King James II, I am the Roman Catholic brother of Charles II, and even though he had 12 “illegitimate” children, I became the last Roman Catholic King of England, Ireland, and Scotland. With England being majority Protestant, another Catholic King upset them and I faced a lot of challenges regarding religion. Because of this the Glorious Revolution of England began, I was overthrown peacefully, and my solidified the Constitutional Monarchy and laid the foundation for the English Bill of Rights that limited the powers of the monarch.

William & Mary(1688-1702)

My name is Mary, daughter of King James II, but unlike him I was raised Protestant and married my cousin William of Orange, a Protestant prince. After my father was overthrown, Parliament asked William and me to rule as a Protestant alternative, beginning the Constitutional Monarchy. Our reign is known for the English Bill of Rights in 1689, which limited the monarchy.
