According to Nowak and Zak’s journal dated 2020 (Consulting Psychology Journal: practice and research, Volume 72, issue 2) it is believed that companies that suffer from emotionally and socially incompetent leaders, can cause absenteeism, hostile workplace lawsuits, employee disengagement, stress-related disability claims, and higher health care costs.
