         <title>Bulgarian&#39;s solar power plants </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> <strong>Photovoltaic</strong> or <strong>PV plant</strong> is a type of solar power plant that uses photovoltaic cells (<em>solar cells)</em> to produce electricity. In Bulgaria there are several built in such Samovodene, a village in Northern Bulgaria, around Veliko Tarnovo province, North Bulgaria and several other under construction, such as in the village of Krusevo.<br><br>One of the most interesting photovoltaic plants is "<em>Srednogortsi</em>." It is located in the village Srednogortsi Madan Municipality. 600 000 leva's were invested in it and it is the first in Bulgaria solar <strong>PV</strong> park. <br>Its fence is almost on the road and constantly collecting onlookers. Interest is caused not only because of its cosmic kind of facility, but there are financial implications. It produces the most expensive electricity in the country. This plant has a capacity of 42.8 kilowatts.<br><br><strong>How it looks ? For the design of the solar park was needed many years of successful experience for layout and installation of modules and inverters. Typical of the selected design is that the inverters are arranged in groups, which relieves their service and the construction of stands is extremely strong and durable, borrowed from road construction. In the construction of the park is paid utmost attention to quality of execution and overall infrastructure.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Wind power</strong> is the use of air flow through wind turbines to mechanically powergenerators for electricity. Wind power, as an alternative to burning fossil fuels, is plentiful, renewable, widely distributed, clean, produces no greenhouse gas emissions during operation, consumes no water, and uses little land.Wind farms consist of many individual wind turbines which are connected to the electric power transmission network. <br><br></div><div>The wind farm consists of 52 wind turbines with total capacity of 156MW; the windmills have been included in the National Electric Company's network.  In our country St. Nikola is the biggest wind energy park in Bulgaria, which is situated near the seaside resort of Kavarna. "St. Nikola will double Bulgaria's wind power production. The country will decrease the carbon emissions by 300,000 tons a day which is equal to 6 million tons for the 20 years of exploitation," said Bulgarian’s prime minister.<br><br></div><div><strong>Saint Nikola Wind Farm</strong> is situated on the land territory of the villages Bulgarevo, Hadzhi Dimitar, Poruchik Chunchevo and Sveti Nikola belonging to Municipality of Kavarna. It covers an area of 60 km². The project consists of 52 turbines connected to the wind farm’s substation by 33 kV underground cables with total length of 65 km. By means of a 110 kV connecting power transmission line the electricity produced is transmitted to the electricity grid of Bulgaria. <br><br></div><div><strong>The project includes the construction of: <br></strong><br></div><div>52 Wind Generators Vestas V90 3.0 MW with active control of the blade angle and rotor position according to the wind speed and direction in order to optimize the electricity production. The wind generators also provide the opportunity for remote monitoring and control from centralized control room. They are of modern design that includes cylindrical tower, rotor with 3 blades and the nacelle, which hosts the generator, the transformer, the gear box, and the other operational installations. The height of the towers is 105 m and the rotor diameter is 90 m.<br><br></div><div> 33 kV underground cables The individual turbines are grouped in branches and are connected through an underground cable grid that consists of 65 km of cable routes. In order to achieve the project standards and minimize the transmission losses the grid is designed at 33 kV.               <br><br></div><div>33/110 kV Substation The electric energy produced by the turbines through the underground cable grid is delivered to Saint Nikola 33/110 kV step up substation.          <title>                             Green\Renewable Energy In Bulgaria</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br><strong>Problems with Green energy and Bulgaria <br><br></strong>Bulgaria has been in economic crisis for a while and although renewable energy is very important its main drawback is how expensive it could be, especially when you are falling behind.</div><div><br></div><div>Many people don't want change because they don't understand how serious greenhouse gas pollution is.<br><br></div><div>Not all is lost though"In 2007-2008, when we began to study investment opportunities, the field of renewable energy appeared full of opportunities despite the risks and challenges". This was by the American entrepreneur Kenneth Lefkowitz who has been active in the Bulgarian economy for two decades and vice president of the Association of wind energy producers in Bulgaria. He also said "At the time, it was an underdeveloped sector. However, there were good prospects thanks to the objectives of 'Europe 2020', which required Bulgaria to make progress in the development of green energy." <br><br><strong>Bulgaria, leader in South-east Europe<br></strong><br></div><div>The boom in renewable sources allowed Bulgaria to reach the share of green energy (not just electricity) on the total consumed, fixed by the EU at 16% by 2020, eight years in advance. According to the Bulgarian Institute of Statistics, the share had already been exceeded (16.3%) at the end of 2012 – a result that only Sweden and Estonia can claim so far.<br>&nbsp;And that is great news, however green energy isn't cheap and Bulgaria remains one of the poorest members of the European Union, the rise of the bills led to social tension which peaked in February 2013, when the centre-right government – led by the charismatic Boyko Borisov – was forced to resign because of street protests against the "crazy bills".<br>&nbsp;Green energy and Bulgaria have this interesting "Love-hate" relationship, we all want renewable energy, but no one wants to pay for it<br><br></div><div><strong>Conclusion<br></strong><br></div><div>It is obviously a serious problem that needs a solution and Bulgaria's plan is to completely transform the energy model. In order to achieve the project standards and minimize the transmission losses the grid is designed at 33 kV.               <br><br></div><div>33/110 kV Substation The electric energy produced by the turbines through the underground cable grid is delivered to Saint Nikola 33/110 kV step up substation.
