         <description><![CDATA[<div>Most agree that the development of interpersonal relationships can be psychologically explained with cognitive factors, but where they disagree is the extent to which those cognitive factors influence behaviour.</div><div><br></div><div>Some behaviours of interpersonal relationships seem to be more influenced by cognitive factors than others. For example, the attraction-similarity model proposes that the initial cause of attraction could be attributed to similarities in hobbies, interests, and others. Additionally, the familiarity hypothesis states that attraction originates from the fondness generated by the sight of something routinely familiar - where situations of being exposed to a certain aspect increases one’s fondness towards it. From the two examples present in the stimulus, it is evident that cognitive factors tend to elaborate the process on how attraction is developed.</div><div><br></div><div>However, evidence suggests that biological factors were more present over the course of the relationship after attraction has been established. For example, oxytocin decreases anxiety and aggression - allowing couple to be more intimate and trusting of each other, while the dopamine reward system provides an intense motivation for positive attitudes towards a partner in efforts of winning them over and making them happy. Hence, the stimulus implies that biological factors were more influential in the maintenance of relationships.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Cognitive factors does play a role in the development of interpersonal relationship. Some might say the beginning of an attraction is due to cognitive factors. Take the attraction similarity model for example. Humans find themselves more attracted to people who are they perceive to be similar to their selves like having similar hobbies, interests, and goals. Another example is the mere exposure effect. People tend to develop a preference for things simply because they are familiar with them which leads them to forming an attraction thus resulting to an interpersonal relationship. However so, biological factors have more evidence showing its present in an interpersonal relationship after the attraction has been made. For example, oxytocin decreases anxiety and aggression, this allows a more intimate and trusting relationship between couples. From this, it is seen that cognitive factors tend to show and explain the development of an attraction whereas biological factors are more influential in the continuation of a relationship.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; &nbsp; To some extent, culture play a crucial role in personal relationship. One of the reason for it is the tendencies that we are more likely attracted to something that is familiar to us. This is the reason why most people tend to prefer couple that shares the same culture with him/her.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>On the other hand, culture may not have much effect toward interpersonal relationship as love is a universal language. Other factor such as cognitive may have a greater effect in personal relationship as people tend to attracted to someone who either make them feel welcomed, they perceived as similar, and fulfill their own criteria for desirable partner. This factor doesn’t bound to&nbsp; or affected by culture.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In a relationship, many factors play a part in it and biological factors are one of them.<br><br>Some biochemicals are released by the body such as hormones, neurotransmitters, and pheromones. Some hormones released in an interpersonal relationship would be oxytocin which plays a major role in the first stages of bonding suggesting a similar mechanism for love and attachment. There is also dopamine which is a feel-good neurotransmitter. This is responsible for motivation whenever we think about a special person. Noradrenaline helps control emotions and stress and it stimulates the production of adrenaline which makes our hearts race. Serotonin levels drop when we fall in love, which can cause obsessive thinking and mood swings. Another way how biological factors could play a role would be in major histocompatibility genes.&nbsp;<br><br>On the other hand, cognitive factors may not play as big of a factor. Cognitive factors such as the attraction-similarity model, which states that we are more attracted to those who seem to be similar to us, where this is more important in the earlier stages of a relationship or the development of it.<br><br>In conclusion, biological factors may play a bigger role compared to cognitive and cultural factors in the maintenance of interpersonal relationships, rather than the development of the relationship.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The development of attraction and interpersonal relationships can be influenced by biological factors to a certain extent. These factors can be more influential when the interpersonal relationship has been established than other factors, such as cognitive and cultural factors. For example, hormones play an important role in the first stages of bonding. Oxytocin can positively affect a person’s mood and propagate feelings of love and attachment. However, when a relationship has been established, Oxytocin can decrease anxiety and aggression, which allows for more intimate interactions between partners. It can increase trust amongst partners and make them feel comfortable around one another.&nbsp;<br><br>Meanwhile, cognitive factors, like the attraction-similarity model, may have a weaker influence when a relationship has been established. Since the attraction-similarity model fixates on the idea of attraction due to similarity, its role is more pronounced during early stages of attraction, when the attraction is still being developed.&nbsp;<br><br>In conclusion, biological factors play a bigger role on the maintenance of interpersonal relationships, rather than their development.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Culture plays a significant role in interpersonal relationship which include cultural norms such as marriage and individual or collectivism lifestyle. Whereby people may be more attracted to other who have the same if not similar level of culture with them. With different cultures also come different ways of showing attraction. An example of that is when western culture, people typically express their love towards each other verbally which in Filipino culture, love is instead expressed through daily and indirect means such as sharing a laugh or working together on a problem of importance and verbal shows of affection are rather saved for special occasions or events.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Another form of attraction may come in a form of a neurological response similar to drug addiction.
