a) Pathos
b) The tone of the narrator's voice was originally normal, but slowly became sadder as the video progressed. It started off with the narrator saying how she had a big role as maid of honour for her sister's wedding. However she then said "Too bad I'm not going to be there" despite being already there. Phrases such as "I'm sorry I had to ruin your big day" tugs on the heart strings of viewers. Especially with the visuals of the video which was the narrator lying down on the floor after having a heart attack.

Also, they use a digital model of the product to explain how the product works which will be more persuasive as it makes it seem more professional. At the end of the video, it also shows "captures 99.95% of ultrafine pollutants" which is the data to back up the advertisement so that it is more persuasive.

The tone of the narrator is very calm and soothing throughout the entire advertisement which sets the mood for the advertisement.

He was trying to convince someone to lend him money to gamble. He uses words such as "I know what i am doing", "I can win it all back", "One more time". After he has finished talking, the camera shows a little girl, presumably the person that he was talking to. She was clutching the piggy bank.

This shows that the man is asking her for her savings to gamble, however the girl is reluctant to do so. This appeals to the emotion for the audience, as they might feel sorry for the girl, who is pressured by the man. The man's tone makes the audience feel slightly fearful

He uses words that strike close to the heart, with emotions of fear and caution. The dim setting sets a grim atmosphere, which adds to the serious tone of the narrator. There is also some Ethos used, as the phrases the narrator uses paired with the tone of his voice makes people inclined not to trust him.
b)i) The advertisement contains the words "Often, the people who suffer from problem gambling aren't the gamblers" near the end, after showing a picture of a little girl trying to protect her piggy bank. This implies that it is the little girl who is suffering from the consequences of problem gambling, despite the gambler being her father/guardian and not her.
ii) The tone of the narrator sounds apprehensive and desperate. He is trying to convince the girl to give him her money and assure her that he will give it back to her.

It was shown after a scene of a little girl holding her piggy bank, implying that her father is trying to convince her to give him her savings as for his own means, which he claims it is for earning money and getting a fortune that would benefit both him and her daughter. Hence, it shows that the consequences of gambling is not always upon affecting the gambler, but it is often others who are related to the gambler in some way that will face the effects of such activity, in this case the consequences of his gambling is on her despite her father being the gambler.
ii) The narrator's tone is desperate, apprehensive and serious –– it has an intention to employ fear. He wants to makes the daughter feel obligated and scared of not obeying her father so much so that she would give her father the money in her piggy bank.

a) Logos
b) i) The advertisement uses words such as "When only one network is America's largest and most reliable 4G LTE network" while calling the other 4G LTE coverages "smaller" and "less reliable" which implies that Verizon has the largest and most reliable 4G LTE coverage in America. They further support this by also saying that their 4G LTE bandwidth has doubled in over 400 cities. They also promote their product by giving consumers promotions that look too good to be true by selling 2 lines with 10GB data for $110 per month and selling 4 lines with 10GB data for $140 per month and also giving customers a $150 credit for each smartphone line they switch to Verizon. Thus, they sell their product by using facts and data to make their product look better than others.
ii) The narrator sounded confident and persuasive in order to convince the viewers to purchase their product.
