If they are kept up they can offend african americans and be shown as a racist symbol.
I think they should be moved out of the communities and be placed in a civil war museum.

I believe they should be moved into museums because we shouldn't erase history by completely taking them down but we shouldn't keep them out in public and continue to hurt the citizens of the U.S.

A lot of people will be upset and in anger which can lead to violence, because to some people this is not just a statue but its history.

3) personally, i think we should take them down but put them in a history museum. putting them in a museum would allow us to not forget what happened in history but not having them up in public would help break the idea of supporting racism and oppression.

There would be (potentially violent) pushback from racists and people who support the confederacy. people will say its "erasing history" but taking down the statues doesn't really erase history -we can still learn about history in better ways and not display confederates on a pedestal
These statues honor racism and slavery and the confederate leaders who fought against the country and keeping them up would be offensive and upsetting to many people.
