I chose this song because it brings back memories of my dad. He loved Patty Loveless and he would sing along to it everywhere at home, and in the vehicle. My dad passed away when I was 13 years old :( my dad loved listening to music he was the one who purchased me my first karaoke because he wanted me to love music like he did. He loved to sing along to all his favourites. Every time I hear Patty Loveless songs they bring back all the great memories of my dad.

Padlet Part 2

Beat: the beat to this song is very consistent. it is a slow steady beat that is consistent throughout the song. The beat has a slow steady rhythmic pattern in this song. I believe that this would be considered a ballad

Tempo: the tempo of this song is what i would consider a Lento ( a very slow tempo) or an Adagio (slow tempo). I feel that the tempo of cthe song brings out the emotins of the lyrics in her song.

Metre: There appears to be a strong-weak-weak pattern which would be 3/4.

Rhythm: the rhythmic pattern in this song has many durations of notes over the steady consistent beat of the song. The chorus changes in rhythmic pattern while she sings at the end of the song while the beat stays the same.

Timbre: there are not many instruments played in my song choice. The main instrument that us played through your the song is the guitar it begins with just the guitar about halfway through you can hear a bit of drums added into the song. I like that this song only has a few insrruments throughout the song, It helps showcase the vocals more.

Harmony: the sounds of the musical notes in this song are mellow and soft. I believe that this song would be considered a polyphonic texture. The notes in this song are reported and makes it a simple but beatiful song.
