What climate region does your country reside in? How does this climate help society? How does this climate hurt society?

Uzbekistan has a arid and continental climate. The Northern area of Uzbekistan has a temperate climate which is a good climate for farming and it is cold in the winter and warm in the summer. However the southern part of Uzbekistan has a subtropical climate. A Subtropical climate is humid and hot in the summer and has cool and mild winters. Having a temperate climate is a good climate for farming so Uzbekistan will have a lot of crops. Agriculture is important for society because it provides many things like food and goods to trade and sell. But farming costs a lot of money because you have to buy the tools you need like tractors you also need a lot of land to farm. Part of Uzbekistan has a Subtropical climate a benifit of this is not having harsh winters, because winters are not harsh people will not have to spend a lot of money on clothes for winter. It might still be cold in the winter but it won't be freezing so they might not have to worry too much about heating their homes.

What are the most important natural resources in your country? How does this natural resource help society? How does this natural resource hurt society?

Uzbekistan has a lot of natural resources one of their natural resources is oil. Oil is a natural gas and is used for many things like plastic, clothes, food, and transportation. Many countries need and rely on other countries for natural gases since some countries rely on other countries for natural gas the countries with natural gas will make a lot of money, since natural gas is a nonrenewable resource it is more expensive than other natural sources like wood.

What is an important landform in your country? What would it be like to live in a country with this landform? Does this impact food, shelter, water, trade, etc.?

Uzbekistan has a flat and steep terrain. A flat terrain is good for making cities and houses. If there are a lot of houses and buildings then there will be a higher population and it will be good for the society. A drawback is there are not many water sources so it will not be the ideal for farming and there are no natural barriers so people can easily invade them. Another landform in Uzbekistan is steep terrain a benefit of this landform is that it provides a natural barrier so it will be difficult for other countries to invade them. A drawback of the landform is that traveling from one part of the country to another part of the country might be difficult and it will be harder to build buildings and houses.

Tie your information together. How does location, climate, natural resources, movement and landforms impact the people who are living in your country?

Uzbekistan has a lot of resources provided for the people who live there. There are many benefits and drawbacks about this country. There are many natural resources provided so Uzbekistan will not be reliant on other country’s for goods like natural gas's. Since there are many airports in Uzbekistan people can travel around the country easily. The Plains and steep terrain provide a lot of things like natural resources, a flat land to build on, natural gas, and food. These things show that Uzbekistan I has a lot of benefits and can provide many resources for the people who live there.
