The Weeknd also known as aka Abel Tesfaye, Was was born February 16, 1990 (33 years old) and raised in Scarborough, Toronto, Canada. His style and sound is contemporary and alternative R&B. His accolades are two grammy awards, twenty billboard music awards, twenty two Juno awards, six American Music Awards, and two Guinness world records. But all of his is 120 awards and 10 billboard music awards. His early musical influences ranged from traditional Ethiopian music to the "King of Pop," Michael Jackson. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the Weeknd specifically cited the impact of Jackson's 1979 hit "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough," describing it as "the song that helped me find my voice. It's the reason I sing.”The Weeknd has become one of the music industry's leading alternative R&B performers. He is the son of Ethiopian immigrants but has had little contact with his father, who left the family when the Weeknd was only a toddler. The Weeknd’s “Dark past” At 17 he decided on to move out of his mother's house and into a one-bedroom apartment with a friend.Him and his friend partied and stole food from supermarkets, spending money they had on alcohol and drugs, including Ketamine, cocaine, MDMA, mushrooms and cough syrup, The Weeknd said which is honestly why his music is around about sex and drugs.

The Weeknd has inspired me in many ways and the why and how are very important to me. I've heard from others that I and others have felt this way with him. His music comes from his pain but it shapes it into today's most common things. People cope with meanings behind his song that connect to his past but at the same time the way he puts it, the pain, and his actions go so well with his slow dark vibe. It woke me up and made me realize I'm not the best person out there and relating to his most toxic lyrics just made me feel at home even though it is not the best thing it mixes well with the dark R&B he goes with. Going deeper into his music he has very well story-making lyrics his lyrics explain a lot and not only that his music videos are amazing as well. The Weekend also has unique beats and sounds its so different than others, I personally love his older music but he's changed now and a cool thing is that he has a story with every album. There are so many more things he has that have a deeper meaning in his music and when you try and think about it and see connections to other songs of him it is honestly really cool.

One of my favorite songs by the Weeknd is House of Balloons/Glass Table Girls. So "House of Balloons/Glass Table Girls" is an upbeat song that I guess goes with The Weeknd's journey through the seductive and often dangerous world of the night. The song is a reflection on a lifestyle of excess and recklessness, as the singer of destructive habits such as drug use and reckless sex. The chorus, “If it hurts to breathe, open a window, oh, your mind wants to leave, but you can't go” from the left side, alludes to the idea of being trapped in the lifestyle despite its risks. The second part of the song, “Glass Table Girls”, further emphasizes the secretive and debaucherous (literally sensual or drug use behavior) behavior that comes with the life that The Weeknd is living. The lyrics and production of the track combine to create a captivating and almost seductive atmosphere that conveys the allure of the lifestyle as something that is both exciting and dangerous.

This album is a personal connection in a way not all of his words I took were how he's meant it I interpreted it in another way for him it was how the album is not supposed to be about doing lines of coke, f**king girls, and all the usual Weeknd hijinks which is how he normally is about,it’s about him trying to get away from all that. In my way I kinda took it as trying to leave some things behind me and getting away from my bad habits. Just a little on what this means for the Weeknd Serves as a nostalgic reminder to his old fans that he still contains traits of his old self that made him The Weeknd, while at the same time letting his new fans know of his self-destructive alluring habits. Abel has nothing to hide, chasing fame, women and drugs is all part his world.

The Weeknd aka Abel Tesfaye is from Scarborough, Toronto, Canada he grew up in Toronto and it wasn't very easy for him back In the first post it included that he has very little contact with his father since his father left when The Weekend was little. Which kinda affected the atmosphere he lived in, Abel dropped out of school and moved to an apartment in the neighborhood of Parkdale initially living in an apartment with two friends, where they would get by through welfare checks, stealing from supermarkets, and occasionally selling drugs. After they were evicted, Abel would bedhop and even tell women that he loved them so that he could have a place to stay. Eventually, he found a job folding shirts at an American Apparel store. It was during this time that he would write and record music for himself.

The Weeknd's fashion is very calming; in a way it's not too much but very nice. In the actual world, he dresses casually but nicely but when he's on tour and at his concerts he dresses like his ¨ character ¨ the persona of the album era he's at I would say.

His art is a dark one but it’s surrounded by beautiful vocals in a way, another one of the , The Weeknds type of art is his “characters” he plays or “persona” it’s the little story’s he’ has in his albums again it’s a very unique but amazing art he has.

¨His swaggering pop hooks, effortlessly low-key vocals and game-changing songwriting nod to King of Pop Michael Jackson and cosmic superstar David Bowie, while his darker impulses reflect a love for Nine Inch Nails and Siouxsie & The Banshees.¨ Michael Jackson and the song first inspired the Weeknd ¨Don't Stop Till You Get Enough ¨ he was inspired. I've said this in the Bio post stating ¨His early musical influences ranged from traditional Ethiopian music to the "King of Pop," Michael Jackson.
