Geography is important in everyday lives because it can help us now where and when something can happen. For example you are at a volcano site. You would know the type of situation the volcano is in. Also when you know geography, you can use the knowledge to know when to do things, (when should I go skiing) etc. Most importantly, it is general knowledge, learning about the word.

Geography is important because it helps us know how the earth has changed over time. As well as give us more idea on how varied the landscape can be. Example: 60 Million years ago all the continents were just one giant one (Pangea). Or the glaciers were several kilometers bigger. Also it helps us understand how climate change is changing our planet as well.

Geography helps us understand basic systems of Earth that affect our everyday life. For example, climate can affect activities. I love riding bikes. When during the fall and winter seasons, rain, cold weather, and snow force me to put my bike away. Because I use biking as a source of exercise, I have to find others avenues to stay fit. I have interest in travel. Biking through mountains is something that I would enjoy. Looking at geographical features indicated on maps, I can choose unique, hilly destinations and access climate graphs to determine the right time of of year to travel to this location. There many more reasons to understand Geography, but for this is most impacting.

Geography helps us understand where a place is or where someone lives, and it can affect lifestyles, depending on the physical environment where people live. There are several reasons why Humans need to understand Geography. Finding and moving to another country would be one reason. You might not know exactly where in that country you want to live but still have the intention of moving there. In that case Google maps or a mapping site would help with that decision. I personally do not know a lot about Geography. I started using resources, and more like, online food services, Gps, Google maps etc, which made me realise all these resouces took part in geography. I also realised that when I am tracking a order I have to look at the map and see where they are.

There are so many more places to visit as well, so many that it is hard to visit to in your lifetime, this is all geography, even knowing where you live when you look off a world map is also geography.

Geography can help us understand the planet we live on. It talks about the environmental information about country's and states. It talks about the native people and where they lived and more about different types of people or animals. it helps us identify what flowers, gems or stones. Gems and stones are things that you need to know a lot about to identify what name is for any of those rocks. That explains why geography is useful in our everyday life .

Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments.

But why is understanding geography important in our everyday lives?

Studying geography is important because it helps both kids and adults to have an awareness of places. Studying geography can help us study its history of any place, such as its physical and cultural characteristics.

It can also help travelers explore places they have never been before. It is very useful to families who live in countries with bad environment and have wars all the time. The families can use maps to find some countries that are safe for them and their children.

A connection I have with geography is I use maps to see what countries are good to travel and I do a little more research on it, since I am a huge fan of exploring to different countries. I also used maps to do projects in my old classes.

This is why studying geography is important to learn.

How to know where the water and land is located and at what height and depth is called Geography. Geography is important because it can tell us about depth of water in a certain place and it can tell us at what height is the land which is next to the body of water. Geography can tell us about sea level rise which is going on due to climate change. It can tell us how deep an area is in the water like about islands. It can give awareness about how long it will take for an area to be submerged. That is why Geography is important.

The houses we live in are impacted by the geography they stand on. For example, houses built on or near beaches will be structured differently than houses in towns like Whitby or Ajax. The geography impacts the conditions the houses will need to withstand. Many geographical aspects are thought about during construction. Buildings built on sand will need to be deeply rooted into the ground to be stable, and careful consideration will be put into simple things, like the thickness of the walls to protect from both hot and/or cold climates. The houses we live in impact our daily lives, and that is why understanding geography is important to our daily lives as well.

The weather, animals, plants - everything has their own designated jobs that keep life on Earth. This study is called Geography. Geography is very important because it helps us predict weather and natural disasters, helps us prepare for certain weathers, and helps us study how the Earth came to be and even, how it will become. Who could have thought India was originally a part of Africa if it wasn't for geography? These are just some ideas. Even if you don't intend on studying geography, you already know a lot because geography is everywhere.

The Earth is a beautiful, extraordinary place. It is filled with lovely landscapes,- vast oceans and tall mountains. It is a lively, wonderful natural world that we live in. Unfortunately it is this very world that human species seem to disregard and destroy little by little. The Earth is our future, our home, yet we continue to harm it’s very future. We need to be a part of the solution to ensure that the Earth continues living. Understanding Geography is one way we can help Earth. Geography is a huge discipline. Its studies explain the planet-,and its vulnerabilities. It teaches us the issues our planet is fighting and how we can help to prevent its further damage. Global warming, -climate change, pollution, deforestation, and species endangerment are just a few of the issues that understanding geography can help the earth with. We are the next generation who shape our Earth’s future. Understanding Geography is critical to our success.

One of the greatest mysteries is our planet Earth. It's flat, yet there are hills and mountains but at the same time it is round and rotates, while humans stand, walk and run without knowing it is moving.
Geography is very important because it helps us to understand the way the world and environment works, and how it can affect the way we survive.
It is a mystery, the way plants and animals helps us and we also help them. We cannot survive without each other. The air we breathe, the water that is surrounding all land, the endless snow that is only on part of the planet? How? Why? What? So many questions, but as we get answers, we have more questions, a mystery but yet annoying that it cannot be solved.

Geography is everywhere around us; it impacts our lives daily whether we recognize it or not! Think about this, if you wanna build a farm you must consider the geography around the area. Adding on, people will also grow knowledge about climates; and that will help them with their farming. Knowing about the climates around the area would be beneficial so they know if where they place their farm is good for the products they will grow. So understanding geography and learning about the features part of it can impact everyday people, including you too! :)

Geography helps us to understand life as we know it. Geography is all around us, and impacts us in ways we may not even realize. Studying geography helps us to understand things such as the distinct climates in different parts of the globe. By understanding the whereabouts of these climates, we are able to know things such as where habitable, fertile land, inhabitable, or barren land is. And by comprehending those things we are able to apprehend where we can build our houses, cities, and communities, while also understanding where we are able to grow crops.

Having any sense/knowledge of geography is having a sense of direction. Without geography Canada wouldn't have been discover affecting out lives since we all live in Canada. GPS and maps wouldn't be the same meaning if you wanted to go to some place like Scarborough the only ways to drive there is by remembering the road or blindly driving. Also with geography we get a better understanding of earth because we get to see a place like China without leaving Canada.

Geography is important in our daily lives because geography is a subject that can help people discover how Earth came to be. For instance, we can look into how we got all the different countries in the world, along with how we got so many different continents. We can also learn about the different physical features like mountains, and hills and also look into how natural disasters happen. If the subject Geography did not exist, then it would be difficult to understand how people work with the Earth. We wouldn't understand the process of farming, or make good decisions about where we should live due to environmental factors. Geography is a subject that helps us bond or build a better relationship with Earth. Go, Geography!

Geography is significant to me because I'm interested in learning about various cultures and observing how their societies are shaped by interactions with their environment. Some Lands have supplies for getting water, clothes, making homes, and getting food. You get to learn how geography has an impact on them, climatic change, for example, may result in material loss and the depletion of land and natural resources. However, we can make a little difference by minimizing our carbon footprint and spreading knowledge of this.
