Modifications to school calendar to lessen burden of subs for data team meetings

Considering half days for students to allow for PM time to focus on data analysis and working with colleagues to plan for implementation

ID tools to use across teams that support this work (behavior, attendance, academics etc.)

Lens of tools to use for all students and tools to use for specific interventions

New core Math and ELA for next year

Focus on assessment resources and screeners

• Nicole & Andrea were wonderful!

• The importance of honoring and respecting students every day

• ABC - agency, belonging and connectiveness

• The debunking of a lot of myths about student rights

2) What MTSS practices are valuable in your district?

• Starting to build on our strong elementary practices in the middle school recognizing that the elem framework can't simply be replicated in the secondary space.

• Expanding our mindsets from MTSS is "just" for academics and moving into the SEL whole child.

• Starting to look at data with more intentionality

• Expanding from Math/ELA teacher involvement to having everyone at the school being involved/accountable in the "education of the child".

4) What are your areas of focus for MTSS this spring and into the 2025-26 SY?

• A (newish) focus on having the entire staff looking at student data to drive home that point that everyone is responsible for every student.

KCSD has a What I Need "WIN" time within each building.

LinkIt! has been incredibly invaluable in the MTSS structures and process.

I appreciate Dr. Hollis-Sims' presentation, which was a larger picture than just MTSS. The idea of belonging is an idea that you can't just say, but you must create an environment of belonging. Connect to Social and Emotional components for students.

2) What MTSS practices are valuable in your district? The analogy of MTSS as a framework like a house framework, and that you build onto such as PBIS or other evidence-based.

Continuing to have curriculum framework and establishing curriculum to support MTSS.

Ensuring that all teachers have support for MTSS and understand what materials to pull for core, supplemental and intervention.

4) What are your areas of focus for MTSS this spring and into the 2025-26 SY?

Following up from the success of the needs assessment and established an action plan.

Engaging staff with understanding that a program/textbook is not the curriculum.

Creating program frameworks for all levels.
