You want to be sure you are safe and insured if anything were to go wrong with your business.

I chose this website because it is easy to navigate and the layout is pleasing to the eye. It has several icons you can choose, to find out more detailed information regarding the various types of industries and what types of insurance is required for that particular industry.

One thing that I learned that surprised me the most was that there are many different types of business insurance that are needed to protect the business owner, their workers, and their clients. It is crucial to get business insurance if you own a business. Overall it was a good topic to learn and become aware about.

2. Provide a real-life example of how this topic is relevant or interesting for you.

This topic does not really concern me right now. It certainly might in the future, if I decided to start my own business or work at a business. This is why this topic was of interest to me. Businesses are all around us and being knowledgeable about business insurance definitely opened my eye to a topic I didn't know a lot about. It will surely benefit me in the future, whether I see it now or not.

3. If you could pass on your knowledge to a family member or friend, what do you think is the most important thing to pass on?

If I could pass the knowledge I have gained on to a family member or friend, I would tell them that having insurance is very important but specifically business insurance, if you own a business. The homeowners policy that business owners have, may not cover business liability, business property, data breach, or loss of business income, so you would definitely want to make sure you are have the right type of insurance. It includes tips to consider if you do own a home-based business and want coverage and includes different types of policies you may need.
