I am Adriana Lago de Carvalho and I am the ERASMUS+ Institutional Coordinator and the Director of the IRO (GRI).
I am delighted to be in contact with you.
I have been working in the field of internationalisation of education for 27 years now and I still remember with enthusiasm my life-changing international mobility experiences, first as an international degree-seeking Brazilian student in Portugal and afterwards as a Erasmus student in Scotland.
We are living in very challenging times and we know this Erasmus period might not be what you have imagined, but it does not mean at all that it will not be special or memorable, that it will not represent an added value at personal, academic and professional levels and that you will not make friends for life.
We will start “at a distance” but never forget we are very close to you.
We hope we can have you in our beautiful campus very soon and that you can fully enjoy our exceptional country, culture and region.

I study Economics and Management at the University of Campania Luigi vanvitelli and I am very honored to study with you this second semester. During my 24 years, I have tried to travel a lot, (in Europe) and I have visited some cities like Paris, London, Vienna, Barcelona, Prague, Berlin, Malta and even Lisbon. My name is Rafael Rezo. I am from Croatia and I study Tourism and Sport Management at the Polytechnic of Međimurje in Čakovec.I am on a first year of Master Degree. I was on Erasmus in Barcelos before two years and I decide to come back again beacuse I had a great time in Portugal. I like sports especially football and handball. Dear teachers, my name is Romano Keser, I'm coming from Zagreb, Croatia. I'm studying IT at Polytechnic of Međimurje in Čakovec. Currently I'm 3rd year of Programming engineering and I'm very grateful to be part of the Erasmus student exchange. I met few students from Portugal that came to Croatia erasmus exchange in Čakovec, and I stayed in touch with few of them. I choose IPCA when I found out how organised you are and the way professors work with students. I like sports and I've been in wrestling since 2012. Hi everyone,
I'm Laurenz Gebauer, 25 years old from Austria, Vienna. It’s my first time in Portugal so everything is kind of new! I’m in the last term of the master’s degree Human Centered Computing, it’s a mix between Computer Science, Design and Psychology. I did Erasmus in Spain before, where I met some awesome Portuguese people. I felt very comfortable with them, so I decided to explore the Portuguese culture by myself.
My hobbies are doing all kind of sports, cooking, traveling and to enjoy cosy nights with friends. My plan is to start with surfing in Portugal. It’s good to be able to try it out here as we don’t have a sea in Austria. If the situation with Covid is getting better, it would be a pleasure to explore this beautiful country with you.

Once Erasmus, always Erasmus

Olá,
My name is Anamaria Cojocariu. I'm a 24yo student in the final year of the master ”Accounting, Expertise and Audit” at ”Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași (in Iași, Romania). This Erasmus is my 4th one. During my bachelor studies, I have fully embraced the scholarship opportunities abroad: I've lived as an Erasmus in Czech Republic, Cyprus, and Iceland. As I stated above, once Erasmus, always Erasmus, so I couldn't end my master studies without living again the best experience of a student. Portugal, and IPCA are now my best choices, and undoubtedly will be another unforgettable chapter of my life. I look forward to meeting all the IPCA Community, and Erasmus students!
As you might have already guessed, one of my passions is travelling. I am a book lover, as well as I am a very active person, enjoying long walks and hiking.
I hope we'll get to meet, and connect on site sooner than we'd expect. Until then, keep up the good spirit and stay healthy!

P.S. I am sorry for not being able to join the video call tomorrow!

Hi everyone, I'm Clelia Zotti, 24 years old, I'm from the southern of italy, specifically I'm from Santa Maria Capua Vetere, near Caserta. It is the first time for me in Portugal, I wish it would be a beautiful experience rich of emotions. I am so gratefull to come, even if the pandemic situation give me a bit of anxiety. I study Economics, I think that I will graduate at most for next december.
I have lots of hobbies, I am a professional volleyball player, I love swimming and traveling. I'm no good at cooking (I hope in my flatemates). I'm also a federation volleyaball referee. I hope that covid situation will finish as soon as possible so I can live the city, peolple, and University too.

Hi everyone, my name is Buse Koç. I am coming from İzmir, Turkey. I am 22 years old and I'm in the 3rd year of a bachelor's program in Industrial Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University. It is my first Erasmus experience so I am so exciting. My BFF was an Erasmus student at IPCA last year and she told me all of her good memories. She talked about the support provided by the professors to the students and their endless help. That's why I chose IPCA. I hope it will be enjoyable for us as well. I love living in a different culture and meeting new people and I think Portugal is a very beautiful country. Nature, people, foods. So I wanted to come to Portugal.

My hobbies are hiking, traveling, dance and take a photo. I hope the pandemic situation will be over as soon as possible and we can enjoy being Erasmus students as we wish.

MOBILITY IS FREEDOM! Hi guys! It's Özlem Türkoğlu, I am an international relations student in Turkey but I study Public Management at IPCA now. I am 1 year Erasmus student so I came 5 months before here. It's such a pleasure to be an Erasmus student in here, even we are still experiencing this hard status quo. I really appreciate IPCA IRO, professors and my colleagues helping me and caring about us mostly as well. I am such a stationery junkie,I love making handcraft stuff, I love learning as a full-time job, traveling, experiencing new cultures, learning new languages as I got A1 level Portuguese now ;)) and I really love Spanish culture, language and country itself. I am an ESN Turkey& ESN Trabzon& ESN Minho member as well, being a part of ESN ( Erasmus Student Network) makes you think/ feel much more internal-minded and gives you many opportunities to learn, experience and make fun! Hello Everyone, My name is Arif Yusuf Yılmaz and I am coming from Istanbul, Turkey. I am a student of Computer Science at Sakarya University and this is my 3rd year.I have a passion to play football but since the covid situation I have been interested in stock market technical analysis instead, go walking across the beautiful sceneries fortunately Portugal has too many :) Swimming is also one of the things that makes me happy, it will be so amazing to add surfing to it. It's really exciting to join this family so I would like to thank IPCA for warm welcoming.I would come here first semester if The covid-19 were not and I did not have to put off the mobility. I, however, decided to join this term because I couldn't let the opportunity slip away. So it's my first Erasmus experience and I can't wait to come together and meet you. I believe that there are so many things that we may teach each other from our countries and may contribute to each other's life to get culture awareness. My name is Lola Darodes and I am 22 years old.
I live in Saurat, a small town near Toulouse in France but I study in Orleans.
I'm in my third year of a degree in law and history.
I have been at IPCA and barcelos since September.
To have been able to come to Portugal and IPCA is a real chance for me. The international office staff and teachers are very welcoming and helpful. I have been able to visit many countries in Europe, but this is the first time I have visited Portugal and I think it is a very beautiful country, the people are very warm.
I really enjoy dancing, reading, watching movies or series, travelling and good food 😊 . What I like the most is meeting new people.
I hope that in the coming months we will have the opportunity to get to know this country and its culture better 🤞🤞😊.
