An activity that helped my knowledge and developed my skills further was by filming new shots, this helped my knowledge as its now helped me to improve the way I shoot videos as now I know which camera shot suits which shoot. Which is good as now when I film I know exactly what angle suits which shoot. What i now know which i didn't know before is how to consistently work within a group, when i say this i mean sharing roles when someone isn't in and trying our best to work with out them. This i can now say is a new skill of mine. Also as a response to the audience i believe that some new skills i gained was editing to more colours, making the video more interesting.

Some new skills that i applied was working with a dlsr camera more, this has made me more familiar with filming and creating and made me overall more confident with the whole concept of creating a music video. I completed this task by filming all the footage needed to finish our filming. There was some barriers that i did reach for example Brandon wasn't in college for week so within our group we had to share his job role and film between us. What we did that i'm proud of is that we worked as a team successfully with no problems. This is good as it showed that we can resolve any problems using teamwork. Another obstacle that our group had which was the main problem is that our edits for the music videos deleted twice, this meant that two full days of work were down the drain. This also meant that we had to edit the music video last minute (day before)

Some improvements that I need to work on include is editing the pictures more making them look more sharp and better edited overall. Some skills that I've learnt/ used includes making pictures look better when taking them for instance using angles that look more flattering and suit the person. I will defiantly use this for future sessions as its a better way of taking images and will overall if I use in future lessons will help me get better grades. Also some improvements that I can improve as a response to the audience when screening is that we need to edit it more to beat and make sure its not buffering a lot.

I presented my work outcomes on my computer as all the work we done on the camera was on there.. Evidence as shown below...

An activity that helped my knowledge and developed my skills further was taking shots this helped me because its made me better at taking shots. Also this task gave me more confidence with a camera, which i can use for future references. Something new that i now know which i did not know before was the whole concept of angle shots with cameras, as i now know which shots are more flattering, and more suitable for each shot.

Some new skills that i applied during this task was using the new angles that iv'e learnt and how to blend them into each over when filming. I completed this task by recording each shot within the music video using the new techniques iv'e learnt. There was a few barriers within this task for instance when filming our nature shots firstly the camera was nearly out of storage. This was a problem as we needed to get as many shots done as possible as the deadline is quite soon. What iv'e done that im proud of includes how i filmed the shot with Ruth dancing and how i came up with good ideas about the movement of nature shots. I am proud of these as it will make the music video look that much better.

Some improvements that we need to work on within our group is that we film more using different shots and we create more movement video shots. This will make more variation during the video which is good as it means the video will be more efficient and effective. Some new skills that i will now use for next session is working more in a team, i believe this as it means more ideas overall.

Here is some evidence of our ideas using images to show this...

An activity that helped my knowledge and developed my skills further was making the padlet page, this helped me to understand our music video ideas more. Doing this also gave me a more organised mind about what we are doing and how we are gonna do each setting within the music video. What I now know that I didn't know before was how hard it is to actually plan your ideas, as for me in consideration thought it would be easy, but you have to overall think about whats happening in each shot and how it will fit etc..

Some new skills that I now know that i didn't know before is how to include everyone's ideas within the group to a standard amount that everyone's happy and agrees with the ideas that are being made. I completed this task by talking to everyone within the group and asking what each person wanted within the music video. This worked efficient as everyone gave they're ideas and there was no problems when doing this task. Some barriers that occurred during this task was some people were not co operating to a standard that we could overall have a clear idea. Although we did overcome this barrier by telling everyone straight what needs to be done and overall make our ideas more detailed. What i have done that im proud of includes getting all our ideas together and making our work the best it could be.

Some improvements that we need to work on is to create more ideas that can link together to make more of a story line within the music video. Something that i have learnt that i will now use in next sessions include more story board and mind map making.

An activity that helped my knowledge and developed my skills further was most probably creating the story board. This helped me to understand to an extent what our music video is going to be like. Also the story board helped me to understand how to use the timing within the video for example, when to put each story box within timing. What I now know which I did not know before was how to use a story board to show timing within a music video. How to do this is to label each box with timing and add the story you want cartooned into a box.

Some new skills that I applied include using my Photoshop skills within the task of editing lord of the rings. I completed this task by putting different pieces of film together, and combining them with a lord of the rings audio. A couple barriers that occurred include not editing the videos to be sync with the audio. Also not using special effects that could of been used to add more detail. Some evidence of this task being achieved is through a program called adobe premiere pro, this programme was used to show our short edit of lord of the rings. What I did that I am proud of include the storyboard i previously spoke about as we detailed it fully and shown directly what was gonna be in each box.

Some improvements that I need to work on include going back onto the editing assignment and adding more effect and making it more sync with audio in the background. Some skills that i have used that could apply in next sessions include working more with paper, i believe this as i thinks its more detailed and quicker to do. Also writing on paper is more personal and feel more comfortable reading off.I will use this skill when creating ideas for example mind maps, story boards ect..

I presented my work outcomes on a piece of paper with the story board and on adobe premiere pro for the edit, as shown below.

An activity that helped my knowledge and developed my skills further was working in a group, this helped to improve my socialising skills and made it easier for future assignments when working in a group. As you don't always have a opinion on who you can go with. What I know now which I didn't know before was that to prepare to make a music video there is a lot of work and a lot of roles to make it overall work out and be good. This surprised me as I always believed that making one would be quite easy and would not have to have so many roles.

Some new skills that I applied during this task was using my ideas and input to put in ideas about who should be who within the group. Me doing this was good as its helped us decide who's gonna play which role in the group. I completed this task as working as a whole with the group and being very open minded about who wanted to be who, also using a padlet we created of each job role within a music video. Some barriers that I came across when doing this task was two people did want to do the same job role, yet we resolved this by having a group debate about who would be a stronger person as the chosen job role. And finally came to the final decision about who should be which job role. What I did which I am proud of is probably my padlet stream about each job roles, I believe this as I did this task to the best of my ability and did all the job roles in depth description.

Some improvements that I need to work on includes being more brief with my work, for instance using more brief writing to use for when writing on my padlet stream. Some skills that iv'e learnt that I will include in my next session is writing more brief answers but making it detailed to a level that you can understand.

I presented my work in a stream padlet.

An activity that helped my knowledge and developed my skills further was by making mind maps, doing this helped me to overall explain songs using different category's. I did this by naming each category and writing information about each of these. What I've learnt that I didn't know before was that each song has a lot of effort put into it just to make the video. For example costumes, song meaning, audience ect... This overall made me learn that a music video isn't just made of scratch its actually got a lot of things they have to consider while producing the video.

Some new skills that I applied is using my common knowledge to explain each topic in the maximum of three words. I've also learnt how to explain things further, for example when doing the mind map task using a few words to describe each task and then adding another box which I then adding more information about these words. Again I only used a couple words for this task. I completed this task by sticking to doing my work and completing it to the best of my ability. Some barriers that I came across was at first I wrote a long detailed part of the mind map, although sadly later on I realised that you had to do them brief into three words each. I changed this though by changing them all into three words each. I am most proud of how I turned the situation around to change the mind maps into three words.

Some improvements that I need to work on include making my answers more brief, I need to do this as it will save me more time and help me overall be able to give briefer answers each lesson and for future assignments. Some skills that I've learnt that I can use for next sessions include presenting work in more colour, I believe I need to do this as it will help me understand more and make it overall easier as I can colour code each genre in different colours so I will not get confused and mix each of them up.

I presented my work outcomes by making a word document showing five mind maps for each song on showbie.

An activity that helped my knowledge and developed my skills further was creating a padlet of each of the elements (colour, shape, texture and line). And finding video's of different eras that relate to the image. This helped improve my knowledge as its shown me how music can realate to images. I now know how to relate music to a element or story. This is good as now my imagery within music videos and music how became much bigger. I also now know how to explain a music videos techniques and add some description about the music video itself.

Some new skills that ive applied is adding my common knowledge in to my work for example when finding a video explaining exactly whats in the video. Ive also learned how to find video's that can relate to each era (1970's, 1980's, 1990's, 2000 and 2010). I do this by searching on the internet songs from the chosen era and watching each video to see what they have within the video. Ive also learnt how to explain a video and its meaning. There was a barrier that I did come across which was when finding the videos at first it was very hard as I did not know what video was which area. This was a problem as it meant my work became very hard and even harder to reach the deadline. Although came across this problem I managed to othercome it by googling songs from each area. This was effective as it means it was quicker to find videos and that I met my deadline on time and was even able to do an extention task. Which im very happy about.

Some improvements that I need to work on include writing a more indepth description and finding more videos that relate to, doing this would overall make it more effiecent.

An activity that helped my knowledge and developed my skills further was probably doing research on each genre of music videos, this helped as it created a sense of more knowledge of music videos and how they've improved during time due to technology and ideas. What I know now what i didn't know before was how technology really changes the layout of the video and how futuristic it can be in this generation. I have also learned how different genres have different styles, for example the clothes have changed in each genre.

Some new skills that I've applied during this task is identifying what parody, live concert, commercial and narrative really are, now I feel confident explaining which each one of these means. I completed this task by researching and using my knowledge further to understand each of these in depth detail. Some barriers that I did come across was that I could barely find any videos for parody, this was hard to overcome as it was apart of the task to find parody videos and me not being able to find them delayed the task. Although I came across this problem I did manage to find some videos that demonstrate parody in the end. Some things that I've done that I am now proud of include completing this task in time. I am proud of this as it means that now I am on time.

I need to improve on getting work done on time, I need to do this as I do not want to miss any deadlines or be behind on any work.

What helped my knowledge and developed my skills further was creating a padlet of 6 Nature and Urban images. This helped me as now I know my knowledge about both nature and urban areas. I now know from doing this task that urban means city and populated areas, meaning more people would live in these areas making it more busy. I also learnt that nature means areas less populated, surrounded by the environment for example forests and fields.

Some new skills that I've applied include using Photoshop, even though I've used Photoshop before I now have learnt how to paint on image and changing colours within the image. Another skill that I've learnt is a larger understanding of nature and urban areas, for example I now can give a definition of both areas. I completed the Photoshop task by adding some imagination into the images, for example painting on the images what i think that they could relate to. There was no barriers within this task, although I could of been more time effective and added more detail into these images. Evidence of my outcomes are within my Showbie, on contact sheets as shown below. I am probably most proud of my contact sheets as I put in a lot of imagination into my ideas.

Some improvements that I need to work on includes putting more effort and time into my contact sheets writing, I believe this as they were pretty brief. Some new skills that I have learnt and can go on and use in other tasks include using paint and changing the pigment to images. This will be good in future projects as its showing more detail and presenting a story within the image of what the day is like within the image.

I presented my outcomes into contact sheets, which are presented on my Showbie.
