People in history are three dimensional, and we should not judge people based only on one bad decision. In Wolf Hall Thomas More is portrayed as a rather loud and indignant rebel. He almost seems to try to push his view upon parliament. Young Thomas More's rejection of Cromwell's wave, seems to capture the view of Thomas more expressed in this adaptation. That he is a severe, closed person. The other film Shows Thomas more as a passionate, dignified, but staunch man. In this film he seems honorable. Thomas More stands for what is good in this film. He means no harm in one film and in the other seems to mean harm to the church and country. The main difference seems to be that in one film Thomas More is portrayed as a victim, and in the other he is portrayed as a person whose indignant stubbornness has gotten him killed.

Man for all seasons: Thomas More is portrayed as a man who is honorable and in an effect a victim of the hostile Cromwell who condemn More with the help of the unhonorable doing of Richard. He is a God fearing and loving man, and died defending him and his law. He is forgiving to the King and people who are killing him despite knowing they are killing an innocent and holy man.

Wolf Hall: Thomas More is kinda seen as a crazed man in court disgracing the government and assisting those verbally in court. In the flashbacks it shows him as a snobbish rich kid who ignored and forsook the kindness of Cromwell as a boy. Overall he wasn’t portrayed very well/nicely until the end, when he held the gaze of Cromwell showing his vulnerability/ humane side before being beheaded ending his insanity and dishonor.
