Production techniques before mass production and the assembly line were slow. Products were often produced by individuals in small businesses with local customers. Making cars was very efficient and fast. After the assembly line was made every employee had one task to do so every car was built almost the exact same. Since many more cars were made quicker it lowered the prices significantly. The assembly line was important because it allowed more cars to be made. Since more cars were made and prices were cheaper many more people were able to buy them. This has affected a lot of people because many more cars were being made so it made traveling farther distances easier. It also lets people from all over the place to have jobs in the city. It allows many more things to be made nowadays.

In the meatpacking industry the assembly lines also helped the owners package and produce more meat allowing them to make more money in a shorter period of time. This helped the workers in the slaughterhouses to produce more packaged food.

In the car industry the assembly line made a big impact on people because the costs of cars dropped from $825 to $260 making the car affordable for many more people.

The assembly line helped make the assembly of products faster. For example the Model T went from taking 12.5 hours to make to just 93 minutes to make. The Ford was able to make more cars in a shorter amount of time and gain more money in profits.

In addition this was a reform for workers because it allowed it to become easier for them to be experts in one and get paid more money.
