With the nachos the meat they give us is watery and most of the time pink, the cheese is dull, tastes like plastic, and makes the chips so soggy they taste unedible. just the other day I tried a hard-boiled egg and when I cut it open there was what looked to be a burnt dead chick fetus! it looked like it was almost ready to hatch too. I can say SO MUCH MORE about school food I could say something about every single dish they give us if you could even call it a dish it's like prison food. Then the topic of the amount of time they give us. in elementary school as a 5-year-old kinder gardener how do you expect a child to eat in 30 minutes even as a 7th grader I can say that 30 MINUTES is not enough time to eat and go outside even if you took half the time to eat and half the time to play outside that's 15 minutes nowhere near enough. I used to make up worlds in my head all for myself I could sit alone with my thoughts for hours at a time but I can't think of anything but school and my grades now instead of going home and thinking to myself "what a nice day can't wait for tomorrow" and then sit and make worlds with my mind and toys now I go home and think "WHY ARE THE KIDS AT SCHOOL SO CRAZY, great more homework, I have to go to sleep soon so I can wake up on time (6 am), and do I have to go back tomorrow" and then going to take a nap due to lack of energy or to go do homework. there are so so SO many more examples but if I listed them all this would be way to long.

]]> 2022-09-27 16:59:22 UTC https://padlet.com/weinberga6020/xmwzf3s1imgl9c63/wish/2315989774 weinberga6020 https://padlet.com/weinberga6020/xmwzf3s1imgl9c63/wish/2316108886 how can school be better? well first make things more colorful specify the hallways. the color may put kids in a better mood and make it feel less like a prison. next, give us more control instead of 2 classes let us choose all if not most of them because to be real math and world GEO are the only 2 classes we need to do ELA may be one we need to do but the only good thing ELA teaches us is how to write reports and emails. and maybe science but I feel like they can put math and science together and be fine. like in math the only useful things are how to count money, how to find the volume and surface area, and fractions that's it. I think school should just teach us the important stuff and then let us choose the rest of the year. that would give us more creative freedom to be ourselves. with lunch, they need to give us more time or let us have more creative freedom and keep lunch the same. The food maybe they should use more of their budget on food instead of using it on things no one asked for. For example in 3rd grade they had a theater crew come to perform that was probably really expensive why use it on that? It was boring a bunch of other kids said "all it was, was a time waster". why use the money on that instead of trying to give us real food? One last thing is that maybe they should have a kid on the school board to help make decisions because they experience what school is like so they would know better.
