From the beginning, imaginaries have been very common in human societies, because human nature tends to observe and judge the world only from its perspective. Consequently, this has led humanity on a safe path towards misconceptions and fears of things it cannot understand, this includes other cultures, worldviews, and religions. In this sense, it is foreseeable that many questions and prejudices have arisen within the West about the unknown Arab world and its beliefs. Furthermore, in recent years, knowledge and ideas about them have been obscured due to the Twin Towers incident, the media, and Hollywood; therefore, leading people to label all Muslims or Arabs as terrorists and have a hostile attitude towards them. With this in mind, as a person from the Western world, I will compare point by point my first impressions about this culture and those I had after a process of inquiry.
