In conclusion my goals this semester are to be fully present while balancing a applying and being double major and being in a spirit org. My performance history includes competition dance to choreographic festivals, to Angels MFA piece, and most recently A piece I performed with Zeitgeist Dance Theatre. I am excited this year because I finally get to perform and my goal is to be in a piece I identify with and pushes me to be more vulnerable. I am excited to dive into concert dance.

It was exciting to have a different format of audition where creativity is put first. I had never done the throw and catch audition format.

2. What was challenging?

It was challenging to remember gestures from the video. I tried my hardest, but it was a bit awkward for me to put together pieces that I picked up randomly.

3. How will this process make me grow?

It will make me grow by being open minded to different audition processes. It will also help me grow by trusting myself in collaborative work.

It was exciting to learn and audition in a style ive never done before. I liked using the bell anklet and the plates, I had never done an audition with props.

2. What was challenging?

It was challenging to have the confidence to use the props. I was worried of messing up or dropping the props.

3. How will this process make me grow

This process will make me grow by learning new styles and finding new rhythms in music. I also learned new footwork and coordination which was new to me.

It was exciting to learn from Makaila because I’ve never learned from her. I really like fast movement, so I enjoyed the audition.

2. What was challenging?

It was challenging to fracture the movement at first because it was so focused on getting the movement right. It was also challenging to not look down while fracturing the movement and creating.

3. How will this process make me grow

This process will make me grow by being creative and reordering and splitting up movement. It will also make me grow by connecting and being vulnerable with other people, because making eye contact while dancing is hard for me.

It was exciting to learn material that was new and not usual to my body and connect to it emotionally. It was also exciting to see how everyone interpreted the movement.

2. What was challenging?

It was challenging to use my focus in the piece. It was also challenging to know the fast direction changes 

3. How will this process make me grow

This process will make me grow by not only thinking about the choreography but also the intention behind it. It will also help me grow into embodying the energy the choreography gives us.

It was exciting to learn more from Annie Laura since she taught a class during my contemporary last year. It was enjoyable to combine the indigenous music with contemporary dance.

2.What was challenging?

It was challenging to let go of the wight and trust the person catching me in the across the floor exercise. Another part that was challenging is the getting up and off the floor during the phrase.

3.How will this process make me grow?

This process will make me grow by further exploring dynamic and strong movement. It will also help me grow by learning about the native Caribbean and furthering my knowledge behind the movement I am doing.

It was exciting to dance with jazz music which I haven't done in a long time. It was also fun to do some Horton technique in the phrase taught.

2.What was challenging?

It was challenging to master the musicality since jazz music is so complicated. It was also challenging to conserve my energy.

3.How will this process make me grow?

This process will make me grow by growing my musicality. It will also challenge me by learning more about the spiritual background behind the piece's storyline.

This song represents how I am good the way I am, and the way in which I show up to rehearsal, because I am always trying to put my best foot forward. . And it is okay that that is not perfect
