This review of poetry has helped me understand new pieces of figurative language that can be incorporated into poetry. For example, pieces of figurative language like similes and alliterations can be Incorporated into poems allowing the author to show more in depth writing to portray the audience in there ideas.

This review has helped me understand that figurative language in poems, stories and songs can help the listener understand why the message is so important and the writers intent with the message. Maybe they chose to do it in a poem because the message was best expressed that way. Or maybe they wrote a song because they needed lyrics and rhythm for the message to be learned and understood.

The poetry review has helped me better understand figurative language and poetry because it went in order and explained to me the over all while going step by step. it first started with giving definitions so i knew what everything was. Then it forced me to look for my own real life examples by looking in texts. it explained to me figurative language because it gave it in different form and made me really decipher things to find it out. -Tyler A

This poetry review has helped me better understand figurative language and poetry because it has given me the oppuertunity to work through different activities in which i had to find and spot out different types of figurative language and it helped because i needed to understand then first so i was able to identify what types of figurative language there really are and overall poetry i needed a review on and this assignment helped me to see the different examples and get a better understanding of what poetry really is and how it is written and the effects it can have on someone.
