Today we Went to bamberg and walk by the river knowing new places, and also we did an activity related to sounds of the nature and taking pictures of what we recorded the sound of and It is surprising for us the difference between bamberg’s river and Aranjuez’s one. I would say Bamberg’s river is more beautiful than ours.

This is kind of an studio, or residence for artists. A contest is made there every year and the best artists are able to stay there living for half a year because its a really beautiful landscape and helps artists get inspired.

We have visited the lock system between Bamberg and the island (Insel) so that the 5 meter difference in level does not affect the transport of boats. There is a crank that opened the door little by little so that the boat could go down. The system is toothed so that it opens slowly and the boats do not collide. Then they closed it again so that it would fill up again and another ship could pass through.

To do the activity they have left us 2 hours free in an imaginary triangle between the cathedral, Hain Park and the Chain Bridge. The activity consists of two tasks. The first is to listen to the city, more especific, we record a peculiar sound, we take a panoramic view of something related to the sound and a final photo of the object that produces it. The second is about recreating fictional scenarios of places in Bamberg using an image editing app to make them more interesting or fun. An example that the teachers have given us is putting a slide in the cathedral.

We went to different places in Regensburg and played a quiz to guess which sound, picture or word belonged to each one of the places.

In the city of Ratisvona we did a very interesting activity that consisted of visiting the 15 stations that the teachers had indicated to us on a map. These stations were the ancient parts of the city dating back to the Middle Ages. Each group made up of two German-Spanish pairs was given three stations in which they had to record a sound, take a photo and put a word. Then on the bus back we played a game with those stations and the winners got a typical German sweet.

We went to one of the oldest bakerys in Bamberg to make bretzels, a type of typical german bread. We learned how to make the dough and the baking process, and finally we ate them with our german exchange partners and the teachers

Gardeners’ museum

As a last activity before heading back to Spain we had to chance to see the Gardeners museum. It was very interesting as we had the chance to see how gardeners used to live in the past and learn a little bit more about the process to grow different types of plants and herbs.

This was our last day in Germany with our families. So we just stayed in our partner's house to talk with them and with their families. Some of us were given some gifts, and others bought other things to take with them to Spain.

We met at the train station at 12:30 to start the journey, a really long journey. We said goodbye to all the German people in there. We had to take several trains until the airport of Munich in which we had to take a plane to Madrid. As we arrived early, we ate something in the airport and we bought some things there (like clothes). We arrived Madrid, and then we took a bus to Aranjuez.

While the guide told the history of the famous German bread, we toured the entire place learning and discovering the different artifacts that were used in ancient times to make said product.
