Gaynor- Hide and seek is a popular children's game in which at least two players or more players conceal themselves in a set environment, to be found by one or more seekers. The game is played by one chosen player (designated as being "it") counting to a predetermined number with eyes closed while the other players hide. After reaching this number, the player who is "it" calls "Ready or not, here I come!" or "Coming, ready or not!" and then attempts to locate all concealed players.

Jastine - My favorite is named "Pikot-pikot" in my native dialect. It is a game that challenges the seeker's ability to move with an area, find his/her oponent and recognize them with the absence of sight. It is played with a large group of individuals minimum of 5 to 10 people. The first step of this game is that the group should decide who's going to be the seeker. After that the seeker should be blindfolded and he/she must turn around 10x giving the others chance to hide or position themselves away from the seeker. The game starts when the seeker starts to move and find his/her opponents. He/she must be fast to catch his opponents because they can move, hide and diviates away from the seeker. When the seeker catches his opponent, he needs to recognize him/her through touching their faces, body with the help of smelling. When the seeker recognize his opponent correctly. It's the specific opponent's turn to be the seeker.

What benefits will my favorite play be for early learners?

Gaynor- Hide and seek benefits the physical development of early learners because it helps develop the small muscles that are needed for the child to run, coordinated eyes to find a good hiding spot, and balance to be able to carefully hide yourself.

Jastine - Pikot pikot benefits the development of the senses, helps the child to know their opponents with the absence of sight. This game helps ignite the senses of smell, touch and sounds.

What type of Play is my favorite Play and how will I be able to innovate my play for this advanced time?

Gaynor- Hide and Seek is more of a COOPERATIVE PLAY because it sets a goal that every player has to accomplish. It requires social interaction with other players to be able to coordinate the places they will conceal themselves from the seekers. And also for the seekers because they need to also coordinate who and where to find the players.
And if I am able to innovate my play to this advanced time, I would incorporate different toys and materials that the children will have fun seeking what the IT player has hidden to stimulate their minds and eyes.

Jastine - "Pikot-Pikot" is an ASSOCIATIVE PLAY. Players interact with each other in the play but they do not share a common goal though players has their own self interest in this game. The goal of the seeker is to catch and recognize the opponents while the others must do their all might not to get caught by the seeker. They can push other towards the seeker just so they won't be able to get caught.

If I were to innovate this game, I would incorporate it with numbers. The seeker must have an easy access to catch the opponents by using odd numbers 1,3&5 as "stop (moving)" and even numbers 2,4&6 as "go (move)". The opponents must be mindful of their actions when the numbers are called out.
