Betty Boops first appearance was on August 9, 1930 in a cartoon called Dizzy Dishes.
 Boop symbolized the flappers in the Roaring Twenties era. Chicago’s gang war reached its bloody climax in the so-called St. Valentine’s Day Massacre of 1929. It's why some people decided to express their dissatisfaction about prohibition. But most of the demonstrator were men because they wanted back the sails of alcohol.
