They were very iconic people who lived in a specific spiritual way, and followed what was called the code of bushido. And Islam might not have had a chance to grow if the emperor was still ruling at the time (because unlike the samurai he did not have a code to follow) Another reason why they had an impact on me was because they puzzle me. I mean why would anyone live such an honorable life only to kill themselves in the end of it.
