Islam is a religion made many years ago. It has over 1.6 billion followers, and affects me in a great way. It follows the teachings of submitting to god, and only believing in one god. Islam is similar to Christianity in some ways, but different in others.

Rome had a big impact on me mainly because it changed the way it made me think. Before I learned about Rome I thought that the world was a place where everyone could easily survive and things were easy. After learning about Rome I realized the world can be an extremely difficult place to live in, and you must be aggressive to stay on top some times.

They were very iconic people who lived in a specific spiritual way, and followed what was called the code of bushido. Samurai were famous for being skilled with there swords, and seppuku, which was there ritual suicide.

The samurai relate to me because while Islam was extremely small in Japan, it still was there. And Islam might not have had a chance to grow if the emperor was still ruling at the time (because unlike the samurai he did not have a code to follow) Another reason why they had an impact on me was because they puzzle me. I mean why would anyone live such an honorable life only to kill themselves in the end of it. I found that perplexing.
