I am extremely family-oriented. I have 3 siblings that I am very close to. My youngest brother is a Junior at Schaumburg High School and my other brother teaches Social Studies at Frost Junior High. I love to spend time with my family. I love board games, socializing with friends, reading, playing the piano, singing, and bike riding.

I use Quizizz for many reasons. In the beginning of a lesson to determine what students already know, in the middle to check for understanding, and at the end to prepare them for their summative assessment.

I am currently participating in a book study for Building Thinking Classrooms and trying to implement this into my classroom. My goal is to be set up for success full speed with this approach for the next school year.

Carnegie Learning

Our curriculum is through Carnegie Learning which prioritizes discovery-based learning. Each lessons starts off with a discovery activity for students in order to eliminate the direct instruction approach.
