Our district incorporates Instructional Rounds and Lesson Studies. Part of our new teacher support includes observing established and effective teachers. Our admin conducts walkthroughs for and we have also incorporated AVID walkthroughs, but since the pandemic, there hasn’t been much of any of this. A barrier I see is when we are coming back to our pre-pandemic systems, there may need to be some vocalization from AVID Site Teams to be included in the restart.
I have emailed the administrators at both sites to remind them that AVID Coordinator should be involved in all Instructional Rounds and to remind them of the actionable walkthrough form that has WICOR components included.

I was also thinking about adding Strategy Study to the Lesson Study format. This might be a way to include WICOR elements in to more content areas. (ex: FNT as a system and how it might be applied differently for different subject areas.)
