There are also lots of short and long sentences. I also think that it is strange that they dont care if it is a kid or an adult that is on trial for being flawed and in real life if your a kid lots of thinks you do wont put you in prison i also think it is weird on how helping a person who is sick or whatever is bad because the guild said that they are marking people as flawed to keep people safe and when she tried to keep the old man safe she gets arrested

I don't know, but from what I can see there has been a lot of character development in him since when we first saw him. Our first look at him he is brought in by multiple guards and is familiar with his holding room, he makes no move to be friendly. And during the chapters we see him change little by little. first he is quite distant and makes no effort to get Celestine attention he actually moves as far away from her as possible at multiple occasions. the first sign of character starts after Celestine's trial when she returns covered in stuff. I could not stop reading.
