In the book "Fat Kid Rules The World" There is actually two protagonists; Curt MacCrae and Troy Billings. They both meet in the beginning of the book when Troy is standing on the edge of a subway debating suicide; he feels as if everybody is judging him, when really it's just his self consciousness.

In the book the one conflict is Troy versus himself. Troy is overweight and very self conscious. through the book you are listening from his position and you see exactly what troy is thinking and what he is feeling. This is a conflict because Troy's self esteem effects him in many ways badly. Another conflict is kinda Curt versus Troy, because Troy accepts Curt's invitation to be his drummer; Accept Troy hides the fact that he does not know how to play. If Troy Does not know how to play the drums he bring's down Curt with him.

I think that one big theme in this book is to trust the ones closest to you, they know what is best. In the book Troy took a lot of advice from Curt. I believe this is what lead Troy to his success.

One character that definitely played as a leader was Curt he set a lot of good/and some bad examples for Troy. He also helped Troy a lot mentally and physically. This is why I think Curt was a big leader in this book.

In my opinion the book was on and off. there were a lot of interesting and crazy moments and there was also some plain kinda boring dialogue parts but yes I do suggest the book. The book was relatable in a lot of ways and also not relatable in some other ways. it's from another teens perspective. So my awnser is yes I did like the book; and I do suggest it
