It wasn’t anything spectacular, just a simple coastal village, like many others I’ve seen. The water was green, not the clear blue I’d imagined, and it was full of seaweed, swirling near the rocks. Still, I enjoyed the trip. There was something calm about it all. The smell of the sea was strong-salty, mixed with the damp, earthy smell of seaweed. It wasn’t exactly inviting, but it felt real, like the kind of wild coastline you expect in Ireland. One thing that me and Valentina enjoyed very much was the Aston Martin that was driving around because the sound produced by that car was extraordinary.

Instead, I found the sea very beautiful and enjoyed the sound of people diving into the water from the rocks.

When I first heard that we were going to Sandycove I was a little bit sad cause it was a little distant from where we live so we had to take the Dart from the center of Dublin. When we arrived at Sandycove it was unexpectedly beautiful. The sea was so amazing and the smell of saltiness was so calming and refreshing. The Martello Tower looked like that was just popped out of a Fairytale. I was really amazed by it and I was really grateful about the fact that I was in the same place were James Joyce wrote the Ulysses. In addition to this magnificent place we all had the opportunity to eat all together in a beautiful spot near the sea. The weather was perfect: it was sunny and the temperature was nice and warm with that little breeze that made the right atmosphere. I’m really glad and grateful I was there with my friends. It was really a magical experience, i personally recommend this spot to people who wants to live a magical and enjoyable experience.

I really enjoyed this place. Howth and the walk we did was really an interesting thing. Personally I don’t really like walk in place like this but Howth was an exception, the sea its so cool and so calm. It’s a calm place we even had the opportunity to eat our packet lunch all together. Howth it’s a place where you can go with your friends and family and have fun together. It’s near the sea and it was a magical experience. The saltiness was fantastic, it’s all so clean and beautiful. The cliff is something Breathtaking and its really High but it’s something that you can’t see. I really liked Howth cause I was with my friends and we all laughed and had fun together. Personally i would go here again maybe with my family and again with my friends cause it’s a beautiful place that everyone have to visit even without doing the walk, just sitting on a bench near the sea and relax.

However, during the walk we learned something about history as there were remnants of the Second World War from the Irish side. It’s a place with a magical atmosphere in my opinion to go alone or in company. I hope to see beautiful places like these in the future.

After seeing the book itself, I sat in a room where they project a short 8-minute film about the history of the Book of Kells. The room was dark, quiet, and the air was cool. The film was projected onto the walls, and as I watched, I was drawn into the story. It explained the origins of the manuscript, how monks worked on it, and the importance it holds in Irish history. The visuals were beautiful, showing the vibrant illustrations and patterns, while the narrator’s voice gave context. It was amazing to see how such a complex work came to be, and the film helped me appreciate this piece of art even more when I saw the book in person.

The today visit at the college was something beautiful and magical. It looked like we were in a fairytale. The thing I liked the most was the library but unfortunately some of the books were not on the shelves but it was beautiful even without them. The magical atmosphere made all so special and unique. Personally the enormous globe above our heads was so amazing and special. I really liked this library because personally I really like letterature and I’m really amazed about it. The place was magical and you could even image the old people who were there studying on those books. It was really a beautiful experience, i really suggest this experience tho everyone. I was really grateful that our teacher made us came here cause is something everyone have to see.

Visiting Howth turned out to be a really nice experience. The village is very pretty, with its lovely harbor and amazing sea views. One of the best parts of my trip was walking along the cliffs. The fresh sea air and beautiful sights made the walk very enjoyable. I also had some delicious churros, and sharing them with my friends while sitting on the grass in front of the market was a special moment. Even though I didn’t try the seafood, exploring the local shops and enjoying the friendly atmosphere made my visit very pleasant. Overall, Howth was a great place to visit, and the mix of beautiful views, tasty treats, and good company made it a memorable trip.

1. The most grateful thing about today was the tranquility and peace that both places gave me; the botanical garden because it’s a quiet and relaxing place despite the many animals that live there, and the cemetery because when entering, you could feel a mysterious calm.

2. The best part of today was meeting the squirrels that were running around looking for food.

3. One thing I learned today is that the cemetery we visited is the first one with people from different religions.

The best part was the walk and the visit to the Martello Tower. The museum was interesting, especially because the guides explained everything clearly and in a fun way. It was truly fascinating to see the places mentioned by Joyce in real life, to feel the emotions he described, and to feel like we were inside his book. The sea wasn’t the most beautiful, but I still enjoyed this day very much.

1. Today, I am grateful to have visited this beautiful garden, a peaceful place wrapped in a magical atmosphere, full of greenhouses that looked like jungles and amazing flowers. I’m also thankful for having seen the famous cemetery mentioned by Joyce in person.

2. The best part of the day was when we all sat together after visiting the garden, sharing our thoughts about the day, talking about random things, and having strange debates about strange questions. Another lovely moment was when Sara and I took a walk through the gardens by ourselves, talking and sharing stories.

3. Today I learned to appreciate the beauty of nature in all its different forms. I also learned that the cemetery we visited was one of the first to accept graves of people from different religions, and I discovered some interesting facts about the plants as well.

During my internship in Ireland, I worked in a pharmacy. There, I was responsible for serving customers at the cash register, helping with the preparation of prescriptions for customers, organizing shelves and storage areas, bringing prescriptions to the pharmacist, setting up discounts and store labels, and checking if the correct medications and quantities arrived with the pharmacy orders, then placing them in the appropriate areas.

I was immediately taught the basics of the job, such as how the cash register works and how to manage the pharmacy. I was shown the layout of the pharmacy and where the medications and other products were located. I was also instructed on how to approach customers and serve them correctly. If I didn’t know something about a patient’s issue, someone qualified would come to assist me. As soon as I finished one task, I was assigned another or I would look for one myself. I didn’t face any particular problems, and i didn’t find many negative aspects. Although I don’t aspire to do that job, I still found it stimulating. Sometimes, I was given tasks that were challenging for my level of knowledge, but with a bit more time, I was able to complete them without problems. Occasionally, I had difficulty understanding the names of some medications, but it wasn’t an insurmountable issue, and with time, I managed to memorize them. Sometimes it was hard to understand people, especially older ones with difficult accents, but with effort, I always managed to meet their requests.

This work experience abroad made me feel like a true European citizen. Being in a different country, working alongside people from diverse backgrounds, and adapting to new customs, helped me understand how interconnected we are. It gave me the sense that, despite the borders, we share common values and opportunities across Europe. Even though I was in another country, there were many Italian people or European people. This opened my eyes to how globalized and culturally connected the world has become and how various cultures blend together. Moreover, I realized how lucky I am to be a European citizen. It is a privilege because being one, has allowed me to travel and live this experience, which unfortunately is not accessible to everyone, especially those outside of Europe or those who are not actually European citizens even though they live in Europe

During my internship in Ireland I worked in a pharmacy with my partner Valentina, we worked in this pharmacy which was located in a small neighborhood. The managers of the place were always very nice, helpful and kind to us. I liked that they let us get into the heart of the work and that they also gave us a lot of confidence in doing all the things they asked us to do. They made us carry out all kinds of tasks from working at the register, interacting with customers, customer service and help, preparing gift packages, organizing all the orders that arrived every morning, arranging all the medicine shelves, sorting patient records both online from the computer and in paper form and also prepare the various prescriptions for people, always with the control of the responsible to prevent any mistakes. My only fear was at the beginning because I thought I wouldn't be able to understand people well while they were speaking, because their pronunciation was different from usual, but all the people who were close to me helped me and made me feel at confidence in my self , always making me do my best. I learned to be independent since I was in a foreign country without parents and far from home. I have also improved my English skills and I have also learned to look at things a bit with my eyes towards the future as I would really like to work in this sector. I realized that I was a European citizen despite being in another country unfamiliar to me. I met many Italian and foreign students in Dublin and this made me understand how lucky I am to have been in this experience both thanks to the school and the EU. I realized that not everyone has these opportunities, especially people outside the European Union, and I was grateful, satisfied and happy to have been able to enjoy this experience the fullest, improving my cultural and social knowledge.

Sometimes, I also had to interact with customers, helping them with their questions and needs. The biggest challenge I faced was the language. Even though I spoke English, understanding the Irish accent was difficult at first. I struggled to understand some customers, but with patience and determination, I managed to improve. I learned to listen more carefully and ask for clarification when needed. From this experience, I learned a lot, not only in my job but also personally. I improved my time management, organization, and communication skills in a multicultural environment. I also gained more confidence in my English, even with the challenges of the accent. Working in Ireland made me realize how connected we are in Europe. I felt part of something bigger, a community where it is easy to move, work, and integrate thanks to our shared European identity. This experience made me feel like a true European citizen.

Hi I’m Emma and I worked in Dublin for 28 days. During my internship in Ireland I worked alone in a pharmacy which was located in a small neighborhood. The manager of the pharmacy was really friendly, helpful and kind to me. She gave me a lot of really good advices about the job. She made me do a lot of things like: organize baby stuff like formula and little toys, work at the register, interact with the customers, organize all the morning orders, arrange all the medicine shelves, organize prescriptions and do pill boxes. I really like speaking with the local people even though the Irish accent was really difficult to understand. I managed to understand it and I think I really improved my English. One thing I learned was to listen more carefully and when needed ask for help or support. Other thins that I improved were: time management and communication skills in a multicultural place. I also gained more confidence in my English, even with the challenges of the accent. Thanks to this internship I realize how connected we are in Europe. I felt like I was part of something bigger, something where it’s easy to move, work, integrate and interact thanks to our shared European identity. I was also tasked with preparing a presentation on social inclusion in sports, which I later presented at a conference. Additionally, my partners and I visited a school to give a demonstration on robots, remote-controlled cars, and drones.

The main challenge I faced was the difficulty in understanding the Irish accent, which was quite strong in some cases. I believe this experience not only improved my English, but also helped me learn how to understand the Irish accent better. It made me realize how important it is to be part of a community like the European Union, which allows for easy travel between member countries. This made me feel part of something larger and also gave me a true sense of being a European citizen.

During this project I worked in a charity shop, for those who don’t know a charity shop is a commercial activity that sells mostly clothing donated by the people to raise money for many porpuses.

I worked at Enable Ireland, a charity shop whose purpose was to raise money for disabled children.

During my time there I have done almost everything from steaming clothes to rearranging mannequins, another activity that I have done was hanging the clothes and put the target with the size and price.

I had an Italian co-worker named Sebastian, and we did basically the same thing aside for our shift I worked part-time from 9:30am to 1:30 pm, and he worked full-time from 11 am to 5 pm, and I'm really grateful to have met him.

The issues I had were connected to the fact that my preparation is completely different from what a person working in a clothes shop need, but by using my head and following my coworkers' advice, I have been able to help a do a great job. Everything because I originally had to work in a pharmacy but since this pharmacy had bad experience with some German students they decided not to take me to work there, and we had to search for another workplace

I learnt how to run a clothes shop even if in a minimal amount and all the soft skills needed to work abroad such as the language, understanding of the job, go along with the coworkers and be able to talk with the clients and staff and even to be careful and being respectful and punctual.

This experience made me realise that I’m a European citizen because I never felt different from the other people around me, matter of fact I have encountered a lot of Italian people. Everyone has always been kind to me and all the services were great starting from the DART that I took every day to go to work and also the bus system is great .

I also learnt that being an European citizen is an enormous privilege because of what you can do , just by living in one of it’s countries. A lot a people could not do what we have done because they are not from the European Union and this can’t be took for granted.

This experience in Ireland was very interesting, it helped me a lot with my english and I meet a lot of cool people. Even though I work in a place were chemistry was non important it was a really wonderful experience, I worked at a SPAR, a minimarket, the main parte about my job was bringing downstairs all the boxes with the products and store them on the shelves (expecially Tuesday and Friday), other activities where like staying on the till ( I can't show the video of this part for the privacy of the people) and taking orders for customers but the most fun part was the cardboard machine, every time a product was packed on the shelves of the store we were left with a box, this box was putted in a machine that compressed it so it was easier to trash it. The most difficult part was thanking orders from customers, exoecially the ones with a really stron irish accent, but I was always followed by a member of the staff so if I did a mistake it wasn't a big deal. Form this experience I learned (apart from upgrading my english) how it feels to stay behind a counter, to meet a lot of different people but also the economy of the country where I was,it helped me also understand that I am a European citizen, because it might seem like another world but there are a lot of things in common with our country.

During my work experience in August in Ireland, I worked in an electronics store specializing in the repair and sale of technological devices. My main tasks were PC maintenance, replacing and assembling components, and checking smartphones. Additionally, when my supervisor Jay asked, I assisted customers, providing advice on which products to purchase. Another key task was broadcasting, where I prepared checked and functional products for sale, packed them, and Jay would handle the shipping. During my experience, I encountered some challenges, particularly at the beginning, related to language and communication with both customers andco-workers. Initially, I felt insecure about speaking English, but over time, through daily practice and the support of my co-workers, I improved my language skills. Additionally, there were technical issues, like installing specific components, that required research and guidance from Jay. He taught me to approach problems with calm and precision, and I learned to ask for help when needed and to patiently find solutions. This experience taught me a lot, especially in terms of technical skills. I gained hands-on experience in device repair, component assembly, and customer management. Moreover, I improved my problem-solving and teamwork skills, learning to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.Working in a foreign country made me realize how important it is to feel part of the European Union. In the first job (Fast Premium Profucts), I had to refill the shelves with all the liquids, check if there were any missing items from the catalog and wash the showcases. In the other (Work Experince Agency), I had to check if all the drones, robots, and cars were working and do a presentation about them to later present it in a only-girls middle school. The only thing I found hard was to stay 8 hours without having a seat and a restroom in the shop, but it was only for the first one the other had both fortunately.

I had a lot of fun also because I always worked with Francesco so I was never alone.

This experience was incredible, one of the best in my life. I worked for a month in a Irish pharmacy and I did not expect to find two young girls full of love and passion to transmit. As I was saying, I worked in a pharmacy and with me there was my friend Sara with which I have shared not only the work but also the room. It was really exciting when we arrived on the first day of work and rang the bell with great anxiety and with expectations underfoot. But it was even more wonderful to discover that our fears (including finding a bad job) were useless because behind that door, waiting for us, were two wonderful girls who don't gave us only a lot of information and notions about the job, but also memories. We would also never have expected the pharmacist to tell us that if we wanted one day, she would be there waiting for us with open arms. Or we would certainly never have thought that she would have been moved when we were leaving on the last day.

I am truly happy to have worked there, in that pharmacy that has been open for a year, that pharmacy on the corner to the right of which only Sara and I will understand.
