For a time she was banished from Egypt and she was removed from her power. She then thought that the powerful Roman leader Julius Caesar could help her be pharaoh again. There was a problem her jealous brother had hired spies to kill her on sight. She sneaked into the city rolled in a carpet. They soon fell in love and had a son named Caesarion. Caesar helped her recapture the throne. Some worked, too. They were weavers, perfume makers and entertainers. Egyptian women had many rights. They could have their own businesses. They could own and sell property, and appear in court. They could interact with men. Women in the Middle Eastern countries  weren't allowed to do so. Egyptian women could divorce and remarry. They were also entitled to one-third of the property owned by their husbands.
