Mrs. Melo, Mrs. Mejia, Mrs. Shelburne, and I, Ms. Martinez, are some of the newest members of the Digital Learning Network. Throughout a course of three years we will be attending PD's where we will be gaining knowledge on how to effectively create learner-centered environments. Our hope is to share this knowledge with all of you, create interactive relationships and eventually have Rockway Educators use these strategies in your classrooms.

Our goals for this school year:
Foster a collaborative community that transforms teaching and learning.
Design student-centered learning experiences that engage students in active participation, collaboration and critical thinking.
Facilitate a proper balance of technology, pedagogy, and content.


We will be using padlet to keep all of you up to date on all the new exciting things we will be learning. Padlet will also allow you to share your thoughts and ideas with your peers. We will also keep you up posted on Learning Labs.Now you may be asking, what is a learning lab? There will be days where you will all be welcome to stop by our classrooms if you would like to observe how we are using our new tools and strategies with the students. There will also be a "learning lab" sign on our classroom doors, the sign will be there to let you know that we are hosting a lab that day.
