After the war against Great Britain had begun each separate state was like its own nation. All states had their own constitution and form of their own government. They felt as if each state was its own country. 2.They were given no authority over the states,the states were self governing so they had no control over trade or commerce so the states had to regulate their own trade.
3. States often had disputes over what value of money was worth in each of the individual states.
4. The government was not able to pay off their war debt of pay for any other need because there was no money.
5.Congress could not fix anything and continued to get worse.

Daniel Shay,a farmer, started a rebellion that marched to the foreclosure banks and shut them down. Shay's rebellion brought light to how bad the nation had become under the articles.
