I think a part of Canadian Culture is what we eat as well as what we watch on TV and music we listen to as well as how we dress. These are material culture items. They distinquish us from other countries and cultures and make us unique. 
 My family is from the east coast so salt cod and salt beef were a big part of our diet. This would be a cultural practice by Newfoundlanders, as years ago everything was salted to keep it fresh.

 We have a unique language or slang version of words. Our diet differs from most parts of Canada due to being an island with limited resources. Salt cod and salt beef with boiled potatoes and cabbage is a mainstay for Newfounlanders.
We are known for our frienliness and willingness to help a stranger in times of need. We are very family orientated and do not believe in divorce or birth control, so we have large families.
Music is a part of this culture as well and most of it is of Irish decent since most of my family originated in Ireland.
We are hearty people with big hearts known for giving and caring.
