It is researched that when parents are actively involved in students' school work, either through daily practice and aid, or through more organized methods such as Parent Councils/Committees (PIC), students' progress in a subject almost always improves.

This will help your student with a consistent model for homework completion and learning.
- Try and aim for a minimum of 30 minutes of math review a day, even if there is no homework set. This little time daily can be an exponentially powerful tool for your son/daughter's math progress and greatly benefit learning and understanding.
- Use the resources posted on the padlet yourselves if there is a concept that is not clear or understood. IXL is very useful for revision of every math topic. 
- Create and uphold a math talk at least a couple times a week, which could be as simple as sitting at the dinner table and discussing what was covered in math that day. STEM is one of these.

STEM is a program designed for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths based students who present a high degree of knowledge and skills in these areas. The math courses in STEM are taught in a way that enhances, stretches and challenges students and provides students with the most opportunity for mathematical competency. It helps broaden mathematical thinking and increase mathematical awareness and connections to other subjects as well as STEM subjects.
