  • Wood: early statues were made from wood.
  •  Bronze : Greeks made a few statues of bronze and even less survived.
  • Stone : They were made from limestone or marble. They were originally painted, but most of the paint has worn away now.Details such as weapons, jewels and horses were made from bronze.
  • Terracotta : A mixture of clay and sand. Used for small statues.
