"Read the city: cultural integration of adult learners with special needs" Erasmus+ strategic partnership project aims to collect good practices in creative urban education. Partners discussed the needs of own organisations, experience and possibilities of future cooperation and decided that the call of European Commission for ‘partnerships for creativity’ will support activities in adult education. The call aims to develop skills and competences that encourage creativity and boost quality and innovation what is relevant to partners' needs.

Partners are interested to link education and training with those in the cultural and creative sectors and because of that involve number of associated partners to this project. This will
enrich experiences of partners' organisations on local level and then these experiences will be transferred to other project partners organisations.

It was organized online project team meeting on 08 March, 2021. The partners knew each other but once again they presented themselves, their professional sides, experiences and organizations. It was discussed about the next meeting possibility. SIYB coordinator informed the partners about kick of meeting with National Agency Erasmus+ Education & Training MBOve . This meeting supported the participants to develop close cooperation, close team building work and to know better what good practices the team has for the adult education.

The presentations were based on sharing experiences and good practices. Each partner made a presentation. It was a very useful meeting for taking good practices in own organizations and communities which supports urban education and development.

It was the first step to start work on materials for the e book. The meeting gave also ideas what will be includes in the e book.

The project partners came together 12 -13 May, 2021 for the online meeting to share experiences and good practices: “Adult education and Special Needs”. Each partner organization made a presentation, main focus what each city /country has? They have shared experiences, good practices, examples from previous projects they were involved in Adult education and what can we take as a good example?; Estonian partner also shares some materials from the previous projects; after the presentations were open discussions. The meeting was informative and productive, the partners got further skills and information. It was an educative meeting.

It was established face-to-face personal contacts. All organisations shared with partners experience in project management, training activities and administration. The partners discussed about specific questions of project management, progress; went into details again about contract and responsibilities, tasks, monitoring, external communication with relevant stakeholders, dissemination, visibility activates; discussed all steps of the project and tasks for all partners, to inform about foreseen results of the project regarding the target groups, to elaborate a concrete plan about regular contacts and how to match the stakeholders needs in terms of dissemination of the project results. The project reached outside organizations during visit the local organizations(Trajekt/Serve the City. It was establish new and close partnerships.

2 M. Transnational project meeting in Nice, France. November 1-3, 2021.

Partners discussed ongoing activities; learned about city in Nice from different perspectives; evaluated activities already done, the partners share information and impact the project had for their learners, organizations and the community, what skills, education and experience, also the new partnership brought and they made a plan for future common and local project activities. The meeting included evaluation sessions. Partners made evaluation by the questionnaires and were discussed all tasks. French partner also organised study visits to “Ligne 16” and "La Station" NGOs to learn about urban education and creative design in the city.

The meeting brought new competencies, experiences, skills and knowledge the learners will use in their day work. Also it supported to develop the further skills of management and learn to learn, social and civil competencies;

SIYB organized -"a digital walk-in hour" -Maastricht Doet!.

The participants where youth workers, educators and teacher were form Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Bangladesh and Georgia.

It was presented our project and also we have shared the ICT tools can be used in an e book as innovative methods.

Later the guest had opportunity to have online trip in Maastricht with SIYB project team.

The meeting was very useful as for the participants as SIYB project coordinators. Both sides have experienced innovative innovative way of presenting the city.

They are able to think different way of teaching, it supported the participants inspiration, motivation. The meeting had also good impact for the community as they will bring innovative way of work in their country and it supports further education of the Adult and quality work.

The organizations developed further cooperation and also gained new experience.

SIYB youth workers and educators were participating at the seminar shape of youth work and the team made a dissemination of the project on 3 of August 2021. SIYB team talked about the project results and the importance of the project of local community to the direction of integration and education of Adults with special needs.

25 educators and youth workers were attended to the meeting from Bulgaria, Turkey, Germany, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan.

The project brought a big interest and were questions how to start to participate and apply these kinds of projects.

2nd of December, 2021 SIYB team presented a project at the international seminar KA1 youth mobility in Germany; 25 adult educators, youth workers and volunteers from cultural and art institutions attending the presentation. The participants learned more about Erasmus+ opportunities and projects and it will increase their involvement in EU funded projects. After the presentation was open discussion and the participants exchanged good practices and experiences supports adult education and inclusions through creativity and art in own cities.

Presentation and partnership: On 13 October, 2021 SIYB team made a dissemination during international TC: “Live, Learn, Experience and Share”. SIYB team presented a project and the result , also made a call for the partnership for the next deadline if any organization had interest for the joint project on adult education. The last day of the project the partners came together to work on a follow up and SIYB took responsibility as an applicant organization for the new join project : “Legends and fairy tales in the intergenerational education” which will be applied in 2022 for the 1round for KA210-ADU - Small-scale partnerships in adult education.

18^th of July SIYB organized a local workshop-Read the city with adult educators, learners, youth workers, volunteers It was presentation of the project and its aims. The participants worked in a group and shared what they know or heard about Adult education and also what need to develop in order to support education in older age, specially disadvantaged part of the group. And what step to make in order to promote to develop Urban Education.

Learn by Doing methods: the participants had opportunity to increase awareness of creativity and cultural
heritage of cities and work on urban, intercultural and intergenerational education using non-formal and informal
methods.

They developed new skills and competences that encourage creativity and boost quality and innovation what were their needs.

It supported to build intergeneration cooperation as this meeting also involved different ages with different social and cultural backgrounds.

The workshop had a good impact for the participants it supported to think more open and it promoted to change their approach of the education of different age groups, special needs and urban education. The participants gained their quality work to this direction and also it affected to their behaviour; Working groups, discussions and brain storming supported their inspiration and motivation. It developed further skills of Adult and urban education. I developed their entrepreneurship skills and leadership.

The meeting was useful : sharing ideas and experiences. The participants came with an new project proposal to involve different age groups together on an online workshop and to try online games in order to bring together participants from different age groups. Older Generation may come also with their grand children in order to teach them how to use ICT tools and they may play together. It will bring more connections of different generations.

The project has been presented during the Youth Exchange Birmingham, UK from 19 May - 27 May 2021 where been involved 39 people from UK, Germany, Russia, Moldova, Italy and France with 48 participants involved. The objectives of this event was relation to the empowerment of young people and their ability to participate actively in society, as well as sustainable and inclusive growth what is similar to the project Read the city. The exercise-"Memor game" and "garden in the night" it brought new skills and knowledge about the culture, inclusion , awareness of the easy access of the people are important for each city. After the activities participant made a feedbacks and also some suggestions for the game.

It was organized online workshop and presentation about "Urban Education and Tools". During online workshop was invited educators, youth workers and volunteers from different countries. The participants were from Germany, Netherlands, Azerbaijan, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia and Greece. The participants learnt about this project. The educators shared good practices about Urban education. The meeting was creative with different tools.

This meeting and cooperation contributed to increasing the awareness about the cultural diversity in Europe, creating tolerance, mutual understanding and improving the ability to work in multicultural environment.

It supported close cooperation between the organizations; the participants gained new information and knowledge and brought new ideas tools for urban education.

SIYB team host teachers and educators from eTwinning project and talked about the importance of Adult Education, presented a project, Dutch cultural heritage and some tools which will be interesting and useful to presented in a Toolkit: Read the City.
SIYB asked some advices what can be developed and used in a toolkit.
The meeting was useful for each participants as they have shared information and experiences for education of different age groups, different and common interest that target groups may have.

It supported to new cooperation cultural and art institutions in order to support adult education and inclusion through creativity and the art

The organizations developed further collaboration in Adult education and shared good practices. They took as an example of some tools and could be use with their target groups in the community. It had also good impact for the organizations as they have more skills participants. It promoted quality work in Education.

SIYB project team had a possibility to take a floor during the international seminar for educators and teacher and make a presentation of the "Read the city: cultural integration of adult learners with special needs" and shared own experiences and tools the teacher could use for the target group with special needs. The tools which is combined with culture and ICT, indoor and outdoor activates for inclusion and integration.

The project had 52 participants from the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Malta and Turkey. The project had a good impact on international level , also on local level as the participants were from different region of the country and they learnt and found out innovative tools that supports inclusion of people special needs.
This also supported the participants to have awareness and understanding the importance of more educative projects for the special needs.

10th of April 2021 visit Serve the City (SIYB)

The project team contacted Serve the City and presented the project, talked about the aim and objectives and planned activities and started to cooperation with them.

SIYB asked the organization to have study visit on 5th of July with International group in their office in order to share the good practices to the direction of adult education and special needs. Mrs. Ingeborg Dijkstra the founder and leader of the organization was fully open for the future cooperation.

The group of youth workers and adult educators, project managers visited Traject Maastricht and Serve the City.

The project team made a presentation of the project, talked about the aim and objectives and planned activities and started to cooperation with them.

The organizations shared experiences and good practices. The future close cooperation was established. SIYB offered to run workshops and presentations about the adult education and special needs to their target group and to use toolkit as guide book.

Mrs Ingeborg Dijkstra was very happy to see us as we were the first group to visit the office after lock down.

The meeting was fully based of sharing experiences, good practices and establishing close cooperation for future project.

9 August, 2021 SIYB organized an international seminar: "Adult education". The participants shared information and good practices in creative urban education. SIYB shared some materials for E-Book which equip and support educators who work with adult learners using non-formal methods of education. The seminar supported the participants to develop skills by collecting and working on materials about cultures in cities and adopt these materials in teaching/learning process with adult learners, and particularly learners with special needs.

Today we have disseminate information about our project at the International seminar. We have talked and shared good practices we got from the partners. The target group : youth workers and educators.
The participants got information from the ebook: Customs and traditions and later it was open time in order to hear from other countries what similarity and differences they have. It was also talked and came a nice idea about collecting materials of traditional games from different countries.

Youth workers, continuously, have to face the impact that the daily mistreatment suffered by young people have in their lives. This mistreatment comes from different social oppression (unemployment, economic background, belonging to a minority, etc.), academic or working difficulties. As youth workers, we need to be aware and have a deep understanding of the opportunities and obstacles. Partners choose inclusion and diversity as horizontal priority because will have focus on young people with health problems, disabilities, social and economical obstacles, they will be final beneficiaries. Trained youth workers will promote sense of initiative and youth entrepreneurship includion social entrepreneurship for this target group and this is one of the priorities of Erasmus+ Programme in youth sector. Partners plan to support young people and youth workers with new materials and create E-Handbook "Entrepreneurship skills as path to efficient inclusion in the society" for daily work with the aim to motivate and train youth to work in virtual environment. Partners will also create Guide-book about the possibilities to develop a start-up and own business, mostly in digital environment. Both project results will include good practices and new materials and tools created by partners. Partners plan also to organise training for youth workers and provide them with methods and tools using non-formal education methods and experiential learning with focus on the development of entrepreneurial skills. The project will be applied by Polish organization.

We have made overview of our work and also made a presentations of Erasmus+/small scale partnership projects; each participants got an ebook by email. The participants also were involved online QUIZ games from the ebook. It was used q-code and also Kahoot;
The participants agreed that developing new and innovative approaches in urban education are important part in education.
The participants mentioned that different types of methods adjusted in educational offer are real needs of the target groups; the participants shared the cases and the needs of their own groups.

Aims of the tool

The main aim of the City Quiz&Walk project is to enhance integration and cultural education of migrants, immigrants, expats, and students using an innovative city quiz mobile application. The most important practical result of the project will be the creation of the mobile applications through the planned activities and cooperation, which would have an impact on successful integration of the immigrants and expats and educating them in the field of the receiving cultures.
This thematic app contains illustrated and text questions which allows the user to explore the culture, traditions and significant figures in partner cultures. In our mobile app we offer ways to explore the culture and history by solving online quizzes on the app and by following the map of the area to find the answers and get to know the places on which the questions are based (when the app user is present at the quiz location). Each version of the mobile application is available in 2 languages (English and partner language). Before the official launch, the mobile applications were tested first by the partner organizations in-house and then with around 100 stakeholders to guarantee the highest quality of the outputs.

Today we have presented the possibilities of Erasmus+, our ebook and we are asking educational institutes to test the educational tools we have prepared during this project.
We met students and talked the importance of culture, tradition, history and art of the country and specially for the city -Istanbul. The information was presented from the ebook. The participants tried quiz from ebook. The group expressed huge interest to participate in more activites which supports them to learn own city and also other cities.

Today SIYB volunteers came together to share the project results and talk about the follow up projects.
The team also shared the information about the result of the meeting with a Traject and Serve the City for new local activities : read the city; it was mentioned that it was recognized that training materials contributed to better quality of adult education as it brings inspiration, social communication, inclusion, motivation, inspiration, self confidence, inclusion, cultural awareness, personal development skills, also concentration, involved participants feeling happy and relax as it based of non formal education tools. it was mentioned that those organizations are ready for the next step cooperation;

It was also proposed to make info papers with an practical exercise : "Senses of the City" and to share it on a tourist offices where the visitors able to try this exercise.

Also as an trial for the next week the leaflets will be placed in Maastricht library.

SIYB team made a plan the next local activities will be offered to be tried to the international/local students.

We came together with other Dutch organizations to present our project result-Read the City and also the last version of the e-book. The organizations agreed that recourses are useful, innovative and materials gives competences for "reading a city" . It was mentioned that after presenting ebook they have started to think and look own cities different way, they pay attention sounds of a city, smell it and see colours and materials from which a city is built.
One of the educator mentioned that she worked long time in Maastricht University and after we have presented the recourse brought all her nice memories.

After this we have shared our ideas for future and follow up activities and we made a plan how to cooperate together and how to support to each other for sharing good practices and information/how to use educational ebook in practice inside and outside of the organization/ How to support intergeneration education/It was born a new idea of the project and the plan is to meet each other for the next week to work on details...and Dutch organization - faces of change will apply for a new project and the main focuses will be on peace education.

The participants from Portugal, Bulgaria, Turkey came together to test read the city.
The participants were adult educators and teacher, also youth workers. Their target groups were youth wish fewer opportunities, Portuguese educators work with disable group.
It was the presentation /input and later the participants were involved in practical exercise.
They have tried exercise : "Discover Maastricht" and special attention was given how easy it would be for the disabled group to move around city.
The educators gained new skills and resources they have investigated Maastricht; they explored number of aspects of cultural identity and comparing the various identities expressed by other Europeans.
They gained digital skills and learn how to walk in a city. it supported team work and communication; the participants had different educational background which supported to combine all those skills and work together. we got very good feedback . At the end the participants got materials from the e book by email.

Today (Dutch and international )students live in Maastricht tried an exercise - THE CITY USING SENSES; the main focus was on parks and Statues Tour. The exercise helped them to learn more about the city, discover Maastricht, find out some historical and cultural place, learn the statues and the histories are behind them.

Today we brough the participants 18+ to DISCOVER MAASTRICHT, visit caves , learn the history is hidden behind it. It was the presentation /input and later the participants were involved in practical exercise.
The group learn facts from about the world war, also discovered the art and culture, find our the materials of the caves, sized the temperature... all this brought new skills and experiences to the participants.

We had possibility to bring young people from social, economical, cultural, financial background, refuges and national minority groups together and to run an exercise: GARDEN IN A NIGHT/tale of 2 cities.
It was the presentation /input and later the participants were involved in practical exercise.
The participants really enjoy to work together, it brought creativity and entrepreneurship skills, mathematic and analytical skills, learn to learn and social, communication skills, citizenship and environmental skills.

A child was born many years ago. When she opened her eyes to life, she was curious and wanted to learn everything about life. And life came and flowed as it always did. The child has witnessed many things over the years. The birth of strong kings, the rise of high walls, the sprouting of great loves, the tests of beliefs, the struggle of values to survive... Even though it seems like big wars have destroyed the child, she also learned to hold on to life again and to grow up in difficulties.

Years passed, the girl grew up, turned into a beautiful young adult.
Now, the way she stands in life is..
Strong and upright, and just like the joy in a child's dance, and the freedom in the colors of the rainbow, like the serenity in the smell of the ginger bread and the grandeur of the church bells, the hope in the voice of the young and the maturity in the look of the old, like the excitement of the melodies coming out of the accordion of the busker, or just as a happiness of the dove that runs around the fountain waters.

Like a river flowing into its own eternity.
Anyway this is the name of our beautiful grown up child, Aachen - the river flowing into infinity..

The bicycle has grown wings and let itself go by the city's magic.
The city is so quiet. There, it is possible to enjoy particular sounds, movements, smells and, of course, meet people.
It's so wonderful to see people of all ages riding their bikes around the city. Everywhere, there are people either sitting or enjoying a walk through the streets not knowing where to go next, just following the smells and the sounds that are around and make us want to enter every open door. That door can be the entrance to a gingerbread cookie shop, a souvenir shop, a café or even the majestic and heavy door of the cathedral whose beauty is astonishing.
I am where I want to be.
This is where I belong to. I am part of the story of this city.
And you? Do you want to fly away with me?

b) Empowerment of Local and Newcomer Youth: By localizing and integrating our program into the two partner
organizations, we aim to empower and skill local and newcomer youth (18-30 years) in border regions in Turkey and North-
Macedonia. This will help young people to develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to become impactful
members of their communities.
c) Improved Non-Formal Learning: Our innovative approach to non-formal learning, which combines digital and physical

After workshop "Garden in a night" we had a study visit.
Turning your experience into knowledge
Within the framework of the Career Education Program "Getting to know the structure, organization and operation of a steam power plant" and the activities carried out by school the students of the G2 section visited the Lignitical Center of Ptolemaida.
During the visit they had the opportunity to learn about the structure, organization and operation of a steam power plant from the primary good to the production and distribution of electricity.
Particularly interesting was the presentation of the operation of the new Ptolemais 5 lignite plant and the anti-pollution technology used in it.
The people in charge of the program who accompanied the children to the visit are the teachers, Georgiadou G, Iosifidou P. and Papageorgiadou S.
