Five guys has used capital to help the quality of their ingredients and equipment, one of the main things they do is use all fresh ingredients such as beef that has never been frozen witch is a big factor compared to other food chains, they are known to have a great reputation with the preparation of their food and all of the equipment they use witch leads to their success.

Five guys has used entrepreneurship in their business by coming up with a solution to may peoples problem (fresh fast food burgers) Jerry murrell was the original entrepreneur that came up with this burger because he wanted to create a fresh burger that has never been frozen that people could get decently fast, this was a great idea because other fast food joints have all frozen food that does not tase as good as their burgers. Witch is a great selling point in the food business.

The name Five Guys is created from the original founder Jerry murrell, he came up with this name because he started the business with his 4 sons chad, Jim, Matt, and ben so he decided that he would name it five guys because there was five guys who started the business.

in 2003, Jerry murrell the owner of Five Guys began offering franchise opportunities. In just under 18 months, Five Guys Enterprises sold options for more than 300 units. The success of franchising a local restaurant made national news, witch lead five guys to become even more successful
