I think its a mandatory process and that it is good for your baby. My thoughts were influenced by nurses. When my cousin had a baby, the nurses told her that breastfeeding is the best thing for her baby until he is about 4-6 months old. The nurses explained that the baby develops an attachment to the mother and it helps with their brain development. Low budget- saves money that would've gone to buying baby formula
Health benefits- breast milk contains the right amount of protein,carbohydrate, fat, vitamins and minerals. Breast feeding is not only good for the baby but it is also good for the mother, it provides protection against breast cancer. 
Digestible- Breast milk is much easier for babies to digest 
Immunity- Contains immunity's to diseases and helps develop the baby's immune system
Helps lose pregnancy weight- Breastfeeding requires 500 extra calories, which contributes to the weight loss process

Some women just don't feel comfortable breastfeeding their baby for whatever reason which can cause problems since it is essential for babies. Another concern is not having enough milk and it can get difficult for some Women to produce milk for their baby.
