4 types of climate regions:
*Humid Subtropical - Land above the tropics and receives 50 inches of rainfall a year, mainly occurring in summer.
*Humid Continental - Extends far into the interior of the Eurasian continent. Rainfall is adequate but irregular because of the distance it must travel to get to land.
*Mediterranean Climate - little water falls during summer, so the land produces few crops without irrigation.
*Marine West Coast - Covers most of Western Europe, warm ocean currents bring warm, moist air that blows over the coast and provides regular rainfall.
