1) Before you share your numbers to your mentees, ensures that they are aware that you're working, etc.
2) Ensures the boundaries are clearly set.

Be honest about the rules between mentors and mentees. Let them know it is not possible for us to interact on any social media platforms. In the case of a public account, as a mentor you need to be accountable for the posts that you put up knowing very well that mentees may find you. Hence it is very important to post responsibly. Perhaps, if you are bold enough, you can choose to block them on IG. #maintainingboundaries Maybe a less violent approach would be to hide your stories or archive your posts from your mentees. OR an option to avoid all of these difficulties, just privatise your IG account!

We should take it seriously. When he/she says "it would easier to just die than to live" we could ask "Do you want to talk about it?" and gradually ask questions "How have you been feeling lately?" "How was your past week?" after getting these information we'd then inform our lead mentor & if need to, we make a report

First we will try to get information about the situation. Check what the mentee actually needs the money for. It may be possible that the mentees could be collecting money to buy something that is illegal. Ask the 4Ws and 1 H without Why question to find out more of the situation. After that inform him or her that borrowing is not a right thing to do. Offer help by giving solutions like approaching self help groups like Mendaki for assistance. If the mentee is persistent, escalate to the LM who will try to solve the issue with other LMs. If not, this needs to be escalated to the CM.
