Am I Creative Enough to Help You?

Like you (!) I am a multi-faceted creative individual. I trained as an actor at London's City Literary Institute and have fifteen years experience as a professional actor and Equity member. I performed live improvised comedy during 2000 at the London Millennium Dome and later made commercials for TXU Energi, Challenge TV and Cadbury's Mini Rolls. After working with the Natural Theatre Company of Bath I co-founded my own company, starting for £5 each outside a London pub and finally being flown to Rome for 24hrs to perform for Microsoft!

As an artist/artiste I maintain my skills and interest with additional studies and have taken workshops in Commedia, Drag, and Clowning. Most recently I was part of the Tate Modern Turbine Hall installation (Aug-Oct 2012) and appeared ina dance video for the 2012 Mercury Awards. I am a published (if neither prolific nor famous) poet and have written for Nursing Times and have a citation in the British Medical Journal. All the art images on this page are my own.

I co-ran my company for ten years, pitching successfully to corporate clients including Orange and the East of England Development Board. I have co-presented workshops for Goldsmiths University, Central School of Speech and Drama and Milton Keynes College.

How My Workshops Work

I use the word 'dynamic' because I take a physical approach to creativity and imagination. You won't find a stuffy PowerPoint presentation and you won't be stuck at a desk listening to me drone on. Instead we will explore theatre and clowning techniques, story brainstorming and re-discoverthe ability to play that we had as children. You will move, you will get sweaty! You will laugh!

We will explore techniques of creation such as a Laban movement approach, the Lazzi technique, my own Pallette technique and more as well as the fun of overcoming blocks by the use of the 'prop box', Superpowers and TimeMachine.

Although I consider myself primarily a performer, over the past few years I have worked a lot with artists and enjoy my own dabblings with visual arts. All the photos (except photos of myself!) and artwork on this site are my own.

Experiments in CGI Animation

This is a short reel showing 3D models and animation experiments in Blender, a free animation package. Sadly I don't have the equipment anymore due to the limitations of living on a tiny boat!
