Which of the Guidelines do students violate most often?

I would argue that the most violated Guideline would be number 1. Since, by violating any other rule you are inflicting harm to others. Some individuals do not realize the seriousness of their violations or that they are violating a rule at all.

Why do ethical violations occur?

I feel that ethical violations occur for many reasons. For starters, many people do not feel that they could be severely harming someone. The internet is so massive it is difficult, to imagine the individuals behind a piece of work. Moreover, many of the violations such as pirating feel almost standard. Lastly, a lack of repercussions for infractions allow the problem to persist.

How to reduce or eliminate unethical behavior?

The best way to reduce of eliminate unethical behavior would be education. The more information given to children and young adults, could reduce unethical behavior. The content needs to be written in a way that shows both the victims and consequences. The best way to provide this information would be mandatory classes for children before, they are given the privilege to use computers.
