Wearing a traditional outfit brings a sense of belonging and appreciation. Growing up, I get to wear my Hmong clothes once a year for the Hmong New Year. My six sisters and I would get up extremely early to wait our turn since my mom was the only one that knew how to dress us correctly. It would take us hours to get ready, but it was a precious moment to bond with my mom and sisters. I have siblings, but they are much older than me so they weren't around often. They are 10, 8, and 7 years older than me. I read a lot of fan fiction on my computer and watched a lot of Disney channel and reality TV. This was a fairly formative time because I still prefer my own company or the company of only a few people.
