Literature gives people a sense of expression and emotion that may be difficult to come upon by oneself. When the "savage" reads, he comes across emotions that had been suppressed because of the lack of vocabulary in his everyday knowledge. The literature helps him communicate his feelings and not only humanize with others, but sympathize with himself as well. 
- Q2 - Bernard comes to extreme realizations after having a deep conversation with Mustapha Mond. This insight into a different life only came about because of his discussion with Mond. Him and Mond used each others insight to come to the conclusion that they, as humans, should have the right to an "unhappy" life. 
- Q3- In Brave New World the importance of words is highly evident, especially because many people do not know how to properly use them. Those who do know, argue that words can change a person's life; give someone knowledge and emotion that is unachievable by themselves. 
- Q5 - In Never Let Me Go Kathy and Ruth go a good amount of time without having conversations that they know they need to have. Finally, they muster up the courage to talk about nearly everything, giving them a strong sense of relief. They acknowledge that they have touched many difficult subjects, and that when the discussion ended, it ended for good and for a reason. It takes a lot to know when to stop talking, but like Kathy says "if we tried anymore of it [talking], things would start going wrong" (Ishiguro 234). They addressed what needed to be addressed, and halted their conversation before it turned into idle chatter. A key issue in these misunderstandings comes from the lack of communication between the different classes. Without that relationship, the citizens are not able to sympathize with each other and really fully understand the lives of their acquaintances. Bernard admits to feeling like an "outsider"
