Up in the Air (2009) George Clooney and Anna Kendrick

This video I believe to be a good example of lay off someone and how to descale the conflict. Layoffs are not easy, and I am sure he would have done his back knowledge before deciding to lay him off. When laying someone off he asked for Natalie Keener (Anna Kendrick) to sit in and be his witness to have proof he followed all steps to meet all the laws such as EEO, Title VII of Civil Rights Act of 1964, Cobra, and the Warn Act. The reason to have a witness is not only for your benefit as a HR manager but also for the employee to make sure he is following the law as well.

To watch the full clip.

https://youtu.be/qyL7TG6SzDU

Start at 1.00 to the end

While the other image shows the EEO and how you must abide by the rule on hiring or denying someone a job.

This image is a good example of the steps it takes to train to ensure every employee are able to growth and get a sense of an accomplishment. This also is a god example for the Title VII, which is about support and allows access to development opportunities to help prevent discriminatory practices. If employee is trained properly, they will potentially become loyal employee one that will not leave to look for a new employment one that see their potential and what they can accomplish. Employers and management need to believe in their staff's abilities.

Image Reference

Training And Development Royalty-Free Stock Photo | CartoonDealer.com #41184159

Steps to a Performance Review

This image is a great example of on the step to a performance review. When hiring someone you tell them everything you expect them to do and if they do not know how to do that then you have to figure out a way to communicate it better to them. After that step you watch to make sure they are being accountable for their actions. Whether you are in aa workplace or in the personal life we all do stuff we probably do not really want to do it just in a company you're getting paid to do it, so the bosses are expecting a certain level of performance and attention to detail.

Image Reference:

Major Steps Involved In Employee Performance Review Process | Presentation Graphics | Presentation PowerPoint Example | Slide Templates
