In this essay, I made the argument that Andy Dufresne represents the convict in the modern imagination. As I mentioned in the introduction, I pushed this off until the last minute to understand the sources and put it all together. The first post below is an artifact of my original essay outline that I made prior to my first draft. Next, I have my first draft which follows the outline closely. The first item in this section is an artifact of a free write I did in class covering the live reactions of watching this episode. The first piece of this section is a concept map that I did in preparation for this essay. I was clueless on what topic to cover, and this helped me land on Christianity and the prison. This paper showed the largest evolution from step 1 to the final step. The paper's thesis and theme even changed multiple times. The second piece of this section is my first draft of the essay. Following this, I placed an artifact of the slideshow used in my oral presentation that described my essay. Finally, I finish with the final draft of the essay where the journey comes to a close.
