Uganda began a policy in 1997, known as the Uganda's Poverty Eradication Plan(PEAP). This plan is construct to rebuild the agriculture. Many industries will begin to demanded in supply, benefiting Uganda's economic growth. If the community could begin having more job opportunities, then more people will be employed. If more people are more employed, them more sales will be created. With more sales being created, this will allow a better income in this community. Uganda lacks a fair minimum wage, and if it was raised, families would have a better income to contribute to businesses.

Poverty in general means that unemployment is so low that basic needs for someone isn't met. Poverty should be a concern for everyone, not because they may or may not be experiencing it, but you are always able to help the next person. This situation continues to rise because of the lack of recourses Uganda is provided. This has caused high inflation, unemployment, inequalities, and low economic growth in this country. Giving back to Uganda, and other countries suffering, will give better opportunities to those in that community.

Uganda has been fighting to limit the poverty rates for almost 3 decades. Many families lack the access to sanitary food and water, as well as living, working, and schooling conditions. Residents in Uganda don't have nearly as many job opportunities as nearby countries. Which has caused many people who resign there to be farmers on small plots of lands. These lands are used for a "subsistence agriculture." These video helps understand the poor living currently in Uganda.
