In the pitch I could have had more confidence, I don’t enjoy public speaking so I was conscious about the fact that I had so many people watching that I panicked. Also due to my dyslexia I find it so hard to think of what to say on the spot so I relayed on my iPad so much I didn’t look up once but I also struggle to read a lot more in stressful situations so I really have to focus on what is written on my iPad so I say everything I am wanting to.

For both makeup artist and director I am able to use and have great knowledge with computers and mobile devices also I have great communication. I am also able to work really well with my hands I can be flexible and open to change.

Skills I need to develop

There are many skills I need to develop these include: working well under pressure, to be able to take criticism. I really need to work on working well under pressure as when it gets stressful I tend to just shut off to protect myself from stress, i need to work on this as when I’m shut off nothing gets done. I need work on taking criticism as I often take it as people judging me as a person and take it to heart, working on this will allow me to improve on my job roles.

In this screenshot you can see that I asked everyone to send me videos from when they were younger dancing this was for mine and Millie’s duo. As our initial idea when we thought of our duo was to use the song What Was I Made For by Billie Ellish and have it that Sara/Millie was made to dance and the videos were reminiscing on her younger self dancing

In December both lottie and feebie told us they were leaving after danceworks this then ruined a lot of our rehearsal schedule as we were expecting them to be with us the whole time however even when they were at college there were a lot of Thursdays when they didn’t turn up or they were late they were just very unreliable so we made the decision as a group to do a lot of the dances that they weren’t involved in to make sure they were done and then we could do the ones they were supposed to be in later on with or without them. We also discussed the fact of them leaving leaves us with two jobs that no one is doing so as the director I took it upon myself to do these just so then I had control over how they looked.

This was the first rehearsal for mine and Millie’s duo and we worked together really well to make sure that it was a contemporary lyrical piece. And we used the lyrics and also Millie’s flexibility to our advantage showing how Sara/Millie really needed a friend at this moment in the story to show her how much dance means to her

In this rehearsal me and Millie worked on what we had already choreographer the week prior and we also added a bit extra on to finish the piece at a point we were happy with and it was ready to be filmed and edited

In this rehearsal we choreographed the group breaking piece which was one of the main points of the end video. Originally it was choreographed with feebie in it and then later on we had to change this to take her out of it.

Ruby and Millie’s final duo was one of the last pieces to be choreographed as we weren’t sure if we were going to do it or not. Once we decided on doing it we then choreographed it based off of they were “in love” this was one of the fastest numbers we choreographed and filmed

Millie’s final solo was choreographed by Millie and filmed all in 30 minutes. Because of how fast of a learner Millie is it’s so easy to teach her ballet that she has now gained enough knowledge to create her own ballet piece

For Millie’s first ballet solo we wanted to get it out of the way so we used iris morgans choreography mixed with mine to get it finished as fast as possible as Millie has such good movement memory she only needed one rehearsal and she was ready to be recorded

In this rehearsal ruby and iris worked on their duo and making sure as ruby was playing a man that her moves were more masculine than feminine and iris had to work on her hip movement

Ruby and iris filmed their duo after 2 rehearsals as it looked really good and it was just better to have it filmed sooner rather than later. As we weren’t sure stressing about time as people being unreliable meant that a lot of the rehearsals we were having to do something different
