The White Rose was founded by Hans Scholl and his sister, Sophie in 1942 they were both students studying at the University of Munich. They were one of the very few people that resisted the Nazis openly. They used to distribute Anti-Nazi leaflets. On one particular day February 18, 1943, Hans spreads the leaflets everywhere in the entrance hallway of the University of Munich. This stirs up a lot of attention. The janitor later reports them to the Gestapo. Then they were brought to court, accused of treason, and beheaded.

After the humiliating defeat at Stalingrad in 1943, Hitler's Generals were discontent with Hitler and were plotting to assassinate Hitler. Colonel Carl von Stauffenburg, an aide on the general staff, places a briefcase containing a bomb beside Hitler during a military briefing about the situation on the eastern front in his Headquarters in Rastenburg, then in East Germany. He then made an excuse to leave the meeting, when he was going, he saw the building explode and reported Hitler as dead in Berlin. However, the desks used at these meetings were cumbersome and this protected Hitler from dying, all he suffered were a few minor injuries.

the situation on the eastern front in his Headquarters in Rastenburg, then in
about the situation on the eastern front

It was December 2, 1938, and the people of the UK had sympathized with the Jews. Sympathetic private organizations and private citizens paid the government to help 200 children migrate to Harwich, UK under travel visas. These children were Jewish orphans and the victims of Kristallnacht(the night of broken glass). An orphanage in Berlin had been destroyed by the Kristallnacht program. The British government would accept more such refugees in the coming years. The last evacuation would happen from the Netherlands in 1940.
