While CT scan and X-ray seem to be the ER's go-to in terms of radiology, that is mainly due to the fact that MRI is not easily accessible in an ER. I work at Parkland Hospital in Dallas and we only have two MRI machines for the use of the whole hospital (for both ER and inpatient use). The portable MRI system would be very convenient to have in the ER as it can be brought directly to the patient's bedside. It would be easier to navigate around a patient's ventilator, IV pump, and other equipment needed to keep the patient stabilized. Many times, patient's get too claustrophobic while in an MRI scanner, requiring the ER nurse to go upstairs to the MRI room to administer anxiolytic mediations. The portable MRI system would allow for family and staff to remain at the patient's bedside, making it easier to comfort the patient without administering medication. I would highly recommend the use of the portable MRI system within an ER setting as it would be helpful in diagnosing acute strokes not seen on a traditional CT scan. ]]> 2020-09-29 23:41:49 UTC https://padlet.com/holmesma156/xl32lc3b7o61m1vq/wish/789892831 Team holmesma156 https://padlet.com/holmesma156/xl32lc3b7o61m1vq/wish/789893141 My top 5 strengths are developer, positivity, woo, harmony, and empathy.

    1. Amelia (adaptability): She will be an essential member of our team as she will help the team adapt to unanticipated situations. She will encourage other members to go with the flow and to be comfortable with any changes along the way. 
    2. Carter (communication): He will be able to easily communicate with other team members and stakeholders. He will be our presenter at meetings with stakeholders as he is is energetic and entertaining. The audience will react well to his presentation. 
    3. David (deliberator): David will be an essential member of our team as he will anticipate any obstacles we might run into. He will help us identify risks and plan ahead of time on how we can handle those obstacles. 
    4. Daniel (discipline): Daniel will help our team stick to our schedule and encourage us to be productive with our time. He will be an essential planner and executor of our team. 
    5. Izzie (input): Izzie will help the team brainstorm ideas by thinking outside of the box. She will be the team member that pays close attention to detail. She will make sure our presentation is immaculate. 

    Amelia, Carter, David, Daniel,  Izzie, and myself will make an excellent team as we all bring different strengths to the table. We will all work together to make our presentation to our facility very convincing to adopt this current innovation.
